Q. What should I expect at my first consultation?
A. Your first consultation will involve a thorough assessment and treatment. Your physiotherapist will ask you a series of questions regarding your problem, to determine how to best manage your condition and rehabilitation program. We will aim to alleviate any pain from the first session and then set up a home-based exercise program to aim towards cure or self management of your problem.

Q. Do I need a referral?
A. A referral is not required unless you have hurt yourself at work and are claiming through Workcover; are a Veteran’s Affairs patient, or seeing us through Medicare via the EPC program. However we liaise closely with your medical practitioner to ensure the best possibly outcome.

Q. Can I claim through my private health insurance? Do you have HICAPS facilities?
A. Yes, if you have the relevant Extra’s cover on your private health insurance you can claim for physiotherapy. We do have HICAPS facilities onsite so all you will need to pay is the ‘gap’ fee which will vary depending upon your health insurance company and level of cover. Please ensure you bring your health fund card with you. We also provide credit card and EFTPOS facilities.

Q. Is car parking available?
A. Yes, convenient parking is available at our Maroochydore, Buderim and Nambour rooms.

Q. Am I given exercises and advice on how to help myself through a self managed program?
A. Your physio, will ensure you are provided with a detailed home exercise program where appropriate which is tailored to suit your individual needs with detailed photographs and instructions. You will be advised on posture corrections and corrections of faulty movement patterns where appropriate.
