Edward Hayes-Woods

Originally from Christchurch, New Zealand, Eddie began studying Physiotherapy at the University of Otago in 2014 and completed his degree in 2017. As a new graduate, he worked in the hospital setting, completing rotations through a rehabilitation ward, outpatient services, general medicine and general surgery.

Eddie made the move to private practice in 2019, his new role allowed him to develop as a clinician through mentorship with experienced physiotherapists. Eddie eventually took over the clinic’s programme for post-operative knee rehabilitation, this allowed for significant exposure to a range of knee conditions, especially ACL ruptures.

Eddie has worked as team physio for several rugby teams. He applies his own experience as a competitive runner and football (soccer) player to understand the demands on these athletes and effectively treat injuries while managing the person as well.

In his spare time Eddie can be found bouldering at the local climbing gym, cycling, swimming, running or strength training. Having explored New Zealand extensively and backpacked his way around South America, Eddie is looking forward to seeing all that Australia has to offer as well!
