Searching for a psychologist in South East Queensland? Our practice has an experienced team of Psychologists dedicated to providing the highest quality psychological care to foster meaningful and lasting change in our clients’ lives.

We believe that a strong relationship between client and therapist is the foundation through which a client will progress towards their therapeutic and life goals. Psychology @ Sports & Spinal offers a range of flexible service delivery options to suit your needs:

  • Telehealth

Booking can be made online or by contacting our clinic directly, we do not require a referral from your GP to get booked in however to see our psychologist under the Mental Health Care Plan by Medicare you will need to see your GP, the process starts with your GP preparing a Mental Health Care Plan which you then bring to your first appointment. A Mental Health Care Plan is not required to receive a rebate from your private health fund.

Julia Camporeale

Psychologist - Anxiety, Depression, Counselling, Work Cover & Chronic Pain

Julia has extensive experience in psychotherapy, including cognitive behaviour therapy, helping clients work through anxiety and depression. She supports individuals in navigating life’s challenges, deepening their self-understanding, and exploring their motivations.

As both a psychologist and physiotherapist, she brings unique insight into the complexities of pain, its underlying causes, and its impact on clients -particularly in relation to WorkCover injuries and pain management. Passionate about counselling, she helps clients develop meaningful plans for the future and move forward with confidence.

Originally from Melbourne, Emily is a psychologist who completed her undergraduate and graduate diploma studies at Monash University. She then pursued her Masters in Psychology (Sport and Exercise) at the University of Queensland. Emily is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists.

With diverse experience in general psychological treatment, chronic pain management, and sports, Emily can provide support to a wide variety of individuals. Emily offers psychology services to young people and adults to improve their quality of life and well-being. She can assist individuals navigating chronic pain and adjusting to large changes in life, coping with anxiety and/ or depression, and addressing various other mental health concerns.

Passionate about providing a safe space for her clients, Emily aims to help them build self-confidence, enhance their overall quality of life, and live authentically. She welcomes clients seeking support in areas such as chronic pain, anxiety, depression, ADHD, interpersonal concerns, relationships, self-esteem, body image, veterans, grief and loss, and general counselling.

Outside of work, Emily is passionate about health and fitness and can often be found in the gym or enjoying meals at some of Queensland’s best restaurants.

Meet Montana 👋

Montana completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at James Cook University in her hometown of Townsville before moving to the Sunshine Coast in 2019. Driven by a passion for enhancing movement and achieving goals, she believes every individual requires a unique and holistic approach to ensure successful outcomes.

Montana has a clinical interest in complex presentations, persistent pain, and lower limb rehabilitation. With specialised training in chronic pain management, she delivers evidence-based treatment and equips her patients with the tools to improve function and wellbeing.

Outside of work, Montana enjoys an active lifestyle, from hiking and gym sessions to hitting the beach and attempting to master surfing 🏄‍♀️

At Sports & Spinal, our purpose is to inspire, engage and empower everyone on their journey of health and wellbeing - including advocating for fair and equitable access to healthcare.

Exercise physiology is a recognised and essential part of Australia’s health system, supported through Medicare, DVA, the NDIS and private health funds. Yet it is still subject to GST. This means people managing conditions like diabetes, heart disease, obesity and mental health challenges are paying extra for care that helps them live better, healthier lives.

We don’t think that’s right, which is why we’re supporting Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) in their campaign to remove GST from exercise physiology services.

Our team are calling on our community to support @essa_au's petition to reach 50,000 signatures.
