Jenny Higgins

Senior Physiotherapist: General & Musculoskeletal

Jenny has a wealth of experience in physiotherapy, having graduated in Melbourne with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) in 1993. She has worked in a number of private practices in Melbourne and regional Victoria, as well as a few years in the USA.

Having been a gymnast and coach for many years, she was passionate to pursue this interest as a physiotherapist. She served as the state team physiotherapist for Gymnastics Victoria on multiple occasions, as well as providing first aid coverage at numerous state and national events in gymnastics, acrobatics, cheerleading, and trampoline, including a World Championship in Melbourne in 2005. This experience ignited an interest in children’s sports, further fueled by her own athletic children, leading to involvement in various sports such as soccer, swimming, triathlon, surf lifesaving, and running. Over the past few years, she has attended several “Kids in Sport” and “Adolescents in Sport” symposiums in Melbourne, deepening her understanding and interest in this field.

Becky Hesketh

Remedial Massage Therapist

Becky is a licensed massage therapist and has been practicing massage therapy since the age of 18, after personally discovering the profound benefits of therapeutic touch. Throughout her career, she has developed a deep passion for understanding the intricacies of the human body and exploring various holistic approaches to healing.

Emmett Walsh

Physiotherapist

Emmett is a dedicated physiotherapist who combines a patient-centred approach with evidence-based practices to help patients recover and prevent future injuries. After completing a Bachelor of Exercise Science at the University of Wollongong and a Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Technology Sydney, Emmett has developed skills in all areas with particular interests in sporting injuries and persistent pain conditions. In 2021, Emmett worked with professional athletes at Wellington Phoenix FC, gaining valuable insights into injury prevention, rehabilitation, and the demands of elite sports. His experience in a hospital pain clinic further deepened his interest in managing chronic pain conditions, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on patient care.

Outside of work, Emmett has been an active participant in sports such as running, rugby league, AFL, and touch football. His love for outdoor activities, including surfing, hiking, and camping, reflects his commitment to leading an active, balanced lifestyle. Emmett takes a multifactorial approach to physiotherapy, focusing on each patient’s goals to promote recovery and prevent recurrence. He is passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest research to provide the best possible care.

Georgia Canfell

Physiotherapist

Georgia recently graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with First Class Honours from Central Queensland University in Rockhampton. Her early years were spent in Airlie Beach, where her love for sports began with dancing and swimming, and continued throughout her schooling years—ranging from netball, karate, and volleyball. Her sporting experiences, combined with a passion for helping others, sparked her interest in physiotherapy. After treasuring her time in regional Queensland with her family by her side, she is excited to return to the coastal lifestyle of the Sunshine Coast and grow as a new clinician.

Driven by her bubbly and warm personality, Georgia strives to provide a goal-oriented, holistic approach to patient care. Her compassion and excellent communication skills enable her to understand the unique needs of each patient, ensuring they receive care tailored to their specific concerns. Georgia is committed to helping patients reduce pain, restore function, and achieve their full potential through a personalised treatment plan.

Luke Robey

Physiotherapist

Luke holds a bachelor of physiotherapy from the University of Canberra. After braving many cold winters, Luke relocated to Queensland, where he now thrives in the warm, active lifestyle the Sunshine Coast offers.

Luke has a strong passion for helping others return to activities they love and is dedicated to empowering people throughout their rehabilitation journey. With a history of playing several football codes including soccer, AFL and touch footy, Luke has a keen interest in the management of musculoskeletal conditions, athletic development and strength and conditioning.

Outside the clinic, Luke spends his time hiking with friends, training at the gym, relaxing at the beach or enjoying a good coffee.

Jenna’s interest is in neurological and musculoskeletal injury prevention, management, and rehabilitation, and she believes in a holistic approach that addresses all aspects of recovery. Through a focus on personalised, patient-centred care, Jenna is committed to helping her patients achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Jenna firmly believes that exercise is medicine, and practices what she preaches with a passion for netball and reformer and mat Pilates. Outside of work, Jenna enjoys spending her time with family, walking her black Labrador, and coffee dates with friends after a Pilates workout!

Tess graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and a keen passion for the musculoskeletal field. Tess combines evidence-based practice with a collaborative, patient-centred approach.
Her goal is to empower individuals to actively participate in their health and rehabilitation journey. Whether it’s returning to a beloved activity or achieving high-level goals, she is dedicated to supporting her patients every step of the way.

Outside of work, Tess loves relaxing at the beach, watching AFL, going to the gym and spending time with friends and family.

Ebony Purll

Physiotherapist

Ebony Purll is a dedicated Physiotherapist, graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Griffith University. Passionate about empowering her patients to achieve optimal health and well-being, she is committed to providing evidence-based, holistic care to help individuals overcome pain and injury. With a strong foundation in musculoskeletal and sports injury, Ebony is particularly interested in chronic pain management and women’s health.

As a former swimmer competing at a national level, Ebony brings a unique perspective to her practice. Her experience as a swim teacher and sports trainer has honed her skills in injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation, particularly in AFL and Rugby.

In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as running, gym, surfing, and golf, and cherishes quality time with friends, family, and her beloved Border Collie, often exploring the beautiful beaches of the Gold Coast.

Lara Bryers

Exercise Physiologist - Cardiovascular & Metabolic Conditions

Lara is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist who graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2024. She is passionate about helping people regain their confidence and quality of life through evidence-based exercise. With experience in neurological and cardiac rehabilitation, Lara develops personalised programs that empower her clients to improve their physical function and overall well-being.

Her past experience coaching basketball and swimming has equipped her to connect with people of all abilities and tailor programs to meet unique goals—whether it’s recovering from an injury or enhancing athletic performance.

Having grown up immersed in sports such as soccer, touch football, basketball, triathlons, and swimming, Lara understands the transformative power of movement. Lili Piletic

Physiotherapist

Lili graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelors in Physiotherapy. During her studies she became apart of Sports Medicine Australia with a Level 1 Sports trainer qualification where she worked with local AFL and netball teams.

Lili’s passion for physiotherapy lies based on returning patients to their goals and assisting in rehabilitation, with a keen interest in lower limb injuries having delt with her fair share of injuries as passionate netball player prior to and during her studies. In her spare time, you’ll find Lili in a Pilates class or off exploring along the Coast.

Will Peterson

Physiotherapist

Will is a dedicated Physiotherapist with a true passion for helping people overcome musculoskeletal injuries and pain. He graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Griffith University with academic excellence. Prior to his current role, he gained valuable experience as a certified sports trainer where he honed his skills in injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation.

Will is committed to collaborating with his patients to achieve the best possible outcomes through an evidence-based, holistic approach. He has a strong foundation in musculoskeletal and sports injury, and a particular interest in chronic pain rehabilitation and TMJ physiotherapy.

In his spare time, Will enjoys an active lifestyle, including running, gym, golf, soccer, and supporting North Queensland Cowboys in the NRL. He is also a lifelong musician and guitarist.

Leah Robertson

Remedial Massage Therapist

Leah is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist, having completed her Certificate IV and Diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy to follow her passion for health and the human body, while raising two children on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

Leah provides evidence-based, client-centred care, conducting comprehensive assessments that include medical history and pre- and post-treatment evaluations. Leah holds the utmost importance on communication and being able to provide a safe space for her clients. She provides the best possible care at all times and understands that massage is a very personal and individual experience, tailoring each treatment to her client’s specific needs and goals. Her treatments consist of a comprehensive medical history, pre and post assessments giving the most holistic tailored treatment plan.

Leah utilizes various techniques in her treatments, including Deep Tissue, Relaxation, Trigger Point Therapy, MET, Myofascial Release and Joint Mobilization to address musculoskeletal dysfunction and promote recovery.

Carla Lazarro

Remedial Massage Therapist

Carla is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist having completed her diploma at Evolve College. She has always had a passion for massage and how massage can help people. During her 16-year career as a beauty therapist, Carla gained experience in performing relaxation massage, hot stone massage and pregnancy massage. Throughout her years, Carla has practised in a variety of healthcare settings including day spas, beauty salons, wellness centres as well as physio and acupuncture clinics.

Carla implements a combination of relaxation, deep tissue techniques and trigger point release with the aim to give the best result.

Carla can assist and provide deep tissue, relation, pregnancy, sports massage, myofascial cupping (suction) and manual lymphatic drainage massage and more.

Abe holds a Doctor of Physiotherapy degree from Bond University and a bachelor’s in human kinetics from Windsor University in Ontario, Canada. He also has a certification in Functional Range Conditioning (FRC). Abe’s dedication to ongoing education ensures patients receive the most up-to-date and effective treatment strategies.

Sports and Rehabilitation Experience

Having worked in both hospital and private practice settings, as well as with online training clients, Abe has developed expertise in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimization. Brandon Pryor

Physiotherapist

Brandon moved up from Victoria to graduate from the University of Queensland with a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies. He also has a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science majoring in Strength and Conditioning and Exercise Physiology from Deakin University.

Brandon has a strong interest in sports injuries and return to sport rehabilitation. He has a particular passion in distance running and court/field sports. He is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care and latest evidence to help you achieve your goals with combined physiotherapy and exercise science skills.

Outside the clinic, Brandon is an avid distance runner himself previously a state level middle-distance runner now competing in the Marathon and Ultra’s. He also loves to play tennis, go hiking or head up the sunny coast to the beach.

Brandon follows the Western Bulldogs in the AFL and his favourite athletes are Rafael Nadal and Eliud Kipchoge. His favourite quote is “No human is limited” – E.K

Zoe Rogers

Physiotherapist

Originally from New York, Zoe moved to Australia and graduated with a Doctor of Physiotherapy. She is a dedicated and passionate physiotherapist who loves helping her clients achieve optimal health and wellness.

Zoe has additional training in musculoskeletal segmental layering and dry needling, which complement her experience in managing neurological conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, and rehabilitation. She has a keen interest in neurological rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and chronic pain.

Physiotherapy has always been Zoe’s dream career, and she looks forward coming into work every day because she finds immense fulfilment in helping people recover and thrive. Her compassionate nature and strong interpersonal skills empower her clients to feel supported and confident throughout their recovery journey.

Emma is an enthusiastic and dedicated physiotherapist originally from Melbourne, holding a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree from Griffith University. With a keen interest in sports physiotherapy, she has gained over two years of experience as a sports trainer for the Brisbane Lions AFC.

A Canadian-Australian with a passion for skiing, Emma dreams of one day combining her physiotherapy expertise with her love for the snow. She is also passionate about helping patients across various domains, including neurological, geriatric, and paediatric care, driven by a commitment to helping people achieve their health goals and enhancing their quality of life.

Emma will be available for physiotherapy appointments at the Kawana Sports and Spinal clinic, where she looks forward to supporting clients in optimising their movement and well-being.

Johnny Mulherin

Physiotherapist

Johnny graduated from James Cook University, Townsville, in 2019, and has since built a dynamic and rewarding career in physiotherapy. Starting in private practice in Mackay, Johnny has honed his expertise in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy while providing tailored care for clients under the NDIS. His passion lies in helping clients achieve unique and ambitious goals, whether it’s returning to running, learning to kayak, or picking up fishing again – no matter how impossible those goals may seem.

In 2023, Johnny took on the role of clinical mentor and lead physiotherapist for the Solomon Islands Institute of Sport, supporting athletes in their preparation for the Pacific Games. This experience highlighted Johnny’s leadership and advanced clinical skills, enabling athletes to perform at their peak on the international stage.

Johnny is an Australian Strength and Conditioning Level 1 coach and is trained in Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling. His professional interests extend to occupational health, where he is dedicated to promoting injury prevention and helping individuals return to work and daily life with strength and confidence.

When he’s not working, Johnny enjoys rugby league, scuba diving, and gardening. Inspired by his favourite movie, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, Johnny embraces exploration, resilience, and adventure – values that also inform his approach to physiotherapy.

Tylana Woodward

Senior Physiotherapist: Women’s and Men’s Health

Since graduating from Sydney University in 1996, Tylana has accumulated over 25 years of physiotherapy experience, assessing and treating a variety of conditions During this time, Tylana discovered she had a passion for women’s and men’s health thus furthered her skills with additional training in Pelvic Floor physiotherapy to provide a higher level of care for those patients.

Tylana able to operate our on-site real-time ultrasound (RTUS) machine which is used for pelvic floor physiotherapy and physiotherapy musculoskeletal assessment. She also has additional credentials in Dry Needling. Outside of work, Tylana is a keen Ultrarunner with a focused approach to the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of all things running related.
