Work Place Wellness

Invest in your most valuable asset... your employees!

At Sports & Spinal we understand the importance of health, the impact that good health has on an individual and the effect that a healthy employee can make to the bottom line of a business.
Our team is focused on providing top quality corporate health services. These include executive health checks, health assessments, and employee wellbeing programs which focus on the employee, their individual circumstances and the specific needs of the organisation.

The corporate health initiative:

Essential steps to a business’s success:

In today’s fast-paced working society a lot of emphases is placed on productivity, performance, and profit margins with employee satisfaction and health often takes a back seat. This has led to an increase in worksite injuries, sick days and unhealthy and unhappy employees.
Research has shown that corporations can save 25% of direct and indirect costs of managing employees’ health risks and disease if addressed.

Services delivered for a safer workplace

· Safe Manual Handling within the workplace
· Health checks and screening
· Ergonomic and Postural education
· Exercise within the workplace
· Injury Prevention education
· The Health and Productivity Institute of Australia found an average saving of $5.81 for every $1 spent on employee well being

Why choose us?

Our aim is to help employers identify and address health risks within their organisations. We support them to make a change by overcoming obstacles that prevent them from realising their full potential.

The facts:

·  Healthy employees are nearly three times more productive than unhealthy employees
·  Unhealthy employees take up to nine times more sick leave than their healthy colleagues

“Our rehab plan is working very well, it has been embraced by our staff and used by several staff members. The manual handling sessions have been invaluable. Our staff learned so much through those sessions and, as a result, we are seeing fewer injuries and an increased level of awareness for themselves and their work with our clients”
Terri Beal SwimFit Finance Administration Manager

March marks ‘March Into Yellow’ which a campaign aimed at raising awareness about endometriosis and it’s prevalence in Australian women 💛

Endometriosis affects women differently, but it is commonly known to cause severe, life-impacting pain during periods, sexual intercourse, bowel movements and/or urination, chronic pelvic pain, abdominal bloating, nausea, fatigue, and sometimes depression, anxiety, and infertility.

Roughly, 1 in 9 Australian females develop endometriosis.

Early diagnosis and treatment to help manage endo symptoms is best practice. The women’s health team at Sports & Spinal can help to manage common endo symptoms.
