WHAT PEOPLE THINK OF US

Wonderful clinic and great range of services. Love the remedial massages by Di. Highly recommend!
The Kawana clinic is amazing! Such an extensive array of Pilates and exercise classes to choose from and I always feel very welcome and comfortable.
Such a good experience, had a lot of lower back pain and felt at ease from the minute I attended this clinic. All staff were very professional and I feel confident that I am in good hands. Thanks
Great clinic! Really recommend all physio and podiatry services. Team is professional and clinic is in a great location! Special mention to their Podiatrist Tim who is great at his job!
Awesome staff and great knowledge. Came here for recovery from spinal surgery and feel i have had excellent advice and care from all the staff and reception. I would recommend to all friends and family.
Saw Georgia who was amazing. She was kind and thorough. Feel so much better after one treatment
The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The aid of a phone app to explain and demonstrate home based treatment plans and exercises was very useful.
Lovely place .Very good professional people. Staff very friendly and very obliging. Matt my physio is very caring and does not expect me to do more than I am capable off. Very happy place. I certainly do recommend Sports and Spinal Maroochydore! :)
Sports & Spinal North Lakes comes highly recommended. I have attended this clinic 3 times a week for the past 5 months and everyday I’m greeted with a smile and great service. They have a great understanding of how to manage DVA clients which is fantastic and allows Vets to focus on their rehabilitation and reaching their goals. Thanks Sports & Spinal North Lakes for your continued support in my long recovery.🦉
I was recommended sports and spinal from a friend after I had suffered a dislocated shoulder outside of work and needed to get back to my job (carpentry) as soon as possible.I can't recommend these guys enough. With the treatment, exercises, mobile app and the extensive knowledge that the staff passed on I was able to get back to work and strengthen my shoulder more than I thought was possible post injury.100% will be going back if needed and will be telling everyone who needs to see a physio about them.
Ashleigh is an excellent massage therapist using a variety of techniques to assist with injury prevention and rehabilitation, improved general well-being and relaxation.Always bright and cheerful with a courteous and friendly manner.
Reception friendly & well organised, consultation was professional & treatment plan & options were thoroughly explained. The exercise program was ready to go & delivered electronically before I arrived home. Exercise app is easy to use, has both written & video instructions plus it tracks progress. Overall, I'm very happy with the service delivered.
What a great visit awesome help where needed
The staff are all professional from the receptionist to the therapists. The physiotherapists are professional, attentive, focussed on the individuals needs and caring. Very satisfied with my treatment and follow up
Beth was absolutely wonderful with her sports massage. She explained what she was doing and why. Beth also let me know how I would feel the next day & how to treat any discomfort I may experience. Beth took the time with me and didn't make me feel as though she had to rush to her next patient. Thanks again!
Ainslee (Podiatrist) did such a good job I never have to go back! I got exactly what I was hoping for and more. Cheers guys.
Thoroughly enjoyed my pregnancy massage with Adrian this week. Professional and knowledgeable. Best pregnancy massage I’ve had yet. The whole team were friendly from the moment I walked in the door! Thank You.
A few reviews here towards the team at Sports and Spinal Maroochydore which i have experienced.1.Carly is one of most is by far the best physio I have seen, very professional, knowledgeable, productive and supportive. If you're serious about recovering from an injury then I would strongly recomment seeing Carly.2. Joe- Very passionate about fitness and helping people recoving from injuries. He had been nothing but knowledgeable, understanding and supportive. Good bloke.3. Front Admin staff.. The ladies at the front desk raise the bar high, nothing but helpful, nothing is a big deal, each person who walks in the door and over the phone ( which I have noticed) is given nothing but high level of customer service. I only wish other company followed theses guys lead.NO ONE is treated as a number.Overall I have found the everyone Sports and Spinal Maroochydore use the lost art of communication , very one works as a team for the best outcome for the patient before, during and after treatment.
Highly recommend Sports and Spinal! The staff are friendly, caring and professional. I have had many sports related injuries over the years and they have always helped get me back on my feet.
Very professional, very friendly and extremely knowledgable and very helpful. Theae guys go the extra mile to ensure you are looked after now and beyond. I highly recommend Sport and Spinal Redcliffe and North Lakes.
Great experience! Friendly and helpful office staff, professional practitioner, outcomes have exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much Sports and Spinal.
Best massage I have had in years. I am a clinical massage therapist myself and am pleased to have finally found someone with excellent clinical skills and very good practical skills
Very professional and friendly staff and Alex is a number 1 Physiotherapist was very impressed by my first visit to this Clinic today.Keep up the great work guys.
I have been so impressed by these guys that I thought I would write a detailed review re my experience with North LakeI damaged my back in a severe parachuting accident whilst serving in the Army, after 20 years of frustration, back pain and dealing with DVA and other health professionals I decided to seek the assistance of the staff at North lakes after being recommended to me by a friend.Due to injuries to my L2/3,3/4 and 4/5 vertebrae a program was developed, under the referral of my GP, to strengthen my core strength to support and mitigate the effects of my permanent disability.Over the last few months I have been regularly seeing Emily and Zac as my Exercise Physiologists, with focused on in improving my core strength, and Montana as my primary Physiotherapist who monitors my progress, overall plan and helps in recovery from my sessions with Emily and Zac. I am impressed on how all three communicate about my plan and goals and the feed back provided to me and my GP. I do love how they remember the personal things you discuss with them which provides a very personalised experience & service. Even admin support from Jess re appointments referrals is prompt, professional and friendly. As such I can not recommend these guys enough, having had multiple other service providers, I can categorically say that it has been 20 years since my lower back has felt so good.My most sincere thanks, it has been a game changer for me, which will allow me to start playing sport and live a more active lifestyle. In particular I would recommend to my fellow Vets on either white or gold cards.
Podiatrist Gabi Bogatko has been helping my foot issues for the last couple of months. I was experiencing foot pain and callusing shortly prior to a long planned hiking trip. Gabi diagnosed my problem, fitted me with new orthotics and recommended other therapeutic measures. I found her to be very knowledgeable and thorough. She also has a nice interaction style with clients. Most importantly, my feet survived the hiking trip and are continuing to improve. I will definitely be using her services again and recommend her highly.
I have been attending this clinic for the last 4 years, including their Physio services, Massage service, Podiatry and Physio exercise classes. The staff are amazing, friendly and are always willing to go out of their way to assist you. I find the services that they provide to be extensive and affordable. A special mention to the best Physio on the coast (Laura Perry) If you need someone who is kind yet knows how to put the body back together, than she is the lady for you!
I can highly recommend Sports and Spinal at Maroochydore. The staff are wonderful and very skilled at what they do. Pilates classes are individualised to suit my needs and the instructors are highly skilled and so supportive. I really felt like they cared about me and my rehab journey.
Visiting from NSW and developed significant lower back / leg pain. Marina (physiotherapist) was an absolute delight who took the time to understand my hx and recent medical treatment. I received massage, and dry needling which helped ease my grim AF pain. Marina also provided me with a treatment plan to compliment my existing at home plan which was incredibly helpful. Marina was knowledgeable, professional and very skilled. Marina’s ability to explain things using clever analogies is nothing short of brilliant.
Friendly but professional.Highly recommended.
Sports and Spinal St Lucia is an excellent physio therapy practice. In particular, physio Tom Williams is exceptional at his job in helping clients reduce pain, correct movement patterns and return to/exceed their physical capacity. You truly feel a great sense of care under his service.I regularly recommend Tom to my network as a strength & conditioning coach, and if you’re looking for someone to really understand your issues and provide an achievable management plan, Tom is your guy
I'm currently seeing a lady here & she has been phenomenal and very knowledgeable of my injury. She shows compassion and empathy but also very honest. The reception staff are lovely and easy to deal with.
Cielo and the team are absolutely amazing! I saw Cielo to get physio on a shoulder I could hardly move and after the appointment she gave me exercises to not only help the issue but strengthen the area to avoid this happening again. She's also an absolutely wonderful person! I also got a massage from Kristi and besides being extremely friendly, I felt amazing afterwards. Special mention to Pauline in Reception who is always friendly and welcoming. Would give 10 stars if I could!!!
Just wanted to express my thanks and appreciation for the improvement made to my back pain.Having ongoing back pain for a number of years. I have been reluctant to seek assistance in the past. However as the situation became more severe to the point where I was unable to function, upon recommendation I received treatment from Nigel. The difference was incredible and immediate. To the point where I have chosen to continue seeing the clinic and Nigel even after the worst of the issues had been resolved. I would have to say that I am feeling stronger and more flexible than I have in a very long time despite being regularly fit and active.Thank you to the staff at St Lucia Sports and Spinal especially Nigel and Tanya for their professional, passionate and friendly service.
Great practitioners and a very friendly welcoming practice. I have had great physiotherapy and massage experiences at this practice and would thoroughly recommend them!
I have been seeing Paul on and off for a for years now, originally for a running injury and now post natal niggles, and couldn’t recommend him and his team enough! We refer all our friends and family and they have never left disappointed or without a good result.Paul is genuine with his advice, knowledgeable and experienced in his practise, and generous with his time! His long term clients are a testament to his skill set.The clinic is friendly, accommodating and all staff members are extremely approachable!
I've been a regular patient of this clinic for 15 years as I have chronic limitations in movement and and under medical advice, lift heavy weights to stabilise my metabolism. The Practice Principal, Paul Fien, has done long 'hands on' appointments with me at least once a week for the last 8 years, working on joint and soft tissue rehabilitation of my shoulders and neck, upper and lower back, hips, legs, knees, heels and ankles, arms and hands - at various times subject to my immediate priorities. He is constantly reviewing the approach we're taking to optimise my progress. Sometimes. my body can be slow to respond or perhaps 'throw us a curve ball'. Paul continues to persevere and to think laterally about treatment options. He is always courteous, thorough and professional. He listens carefully to my feedback and treats me as an equal partner in this healing journey. In addition, I have severe chemical sensitivities, which are accommodated by the practice, including by not using cleaning chemicals within the clinic environment while I'm there.Paul makes himself available when an emergency occurs and is ably supported at all times by his other professional and office staff.Over the last 18 months, I've been recovering from a severe fall (including adverse impacts on brain function from concussion). Paul has worked gently through the associated CNS and functional challenges, especially the intense fear I've experienced, and we're making excellent progress.I highly recommend Paul Fien and this practice for its approach, professionalism and excellence, quality of service, and caring/compassion.
Physio Bella was attentive and professional. My back & arm feel better after the visit. I would recommend this place :)
Would highly recommend these guys, very friendly and professional.
Highly recommended! Great capable team with experience and knowledge! Am very happy with the treatment and follow up. The communication from the admin team is super easy and helpful too. SMS notifications and wait list etc makes life easier
Great service from the time of booking, to the appointment/treatment and follow ups. While in the appointment the service and the attention to detail ensures good recovery time. Follow ups and exercises at home are also supported with good videos and guides.Am very comfortable with recommending Kawana Sports and Spinal.
The reception staff were great, handled my booking perfectly. Physio Nick - the boss, was very attentive, knew what my issue was by the way I walked in, walked out a new person (sort of) and feeling great. Thanks Nick
Had the most incredible massage on my upper back/shoulders/neck by Ray yesterday. Walked out felling 100%. Tension gone! Thanks Ray!!
Had Pilates assessment and single classes with Lucy, amazing!! Had Pilates classes with Alex and Michael, both amazing!! Feeling like jelly in my muscles but in the best way hahaha
Professional, understanding, caring and precise on assisting me to recover after breaking my arm and wrist. Well done team. :)
Simon has done a great job in treating my tennis elbow.
I've had back pain for over a year from a work injury, which was really affecting me. Luckily, I found Sports & Spinal and was treated by the wonderful Physiotherapist Harris. He was so polite, had such a wealth of knowledge, very approachable to ask any questions, streamlined treatment and he helped me return to my regular gym sessions as well as return to my work pain-free. Thank you very much, very lovely team all round as well. I know where I will go in the future if I have an injury.
Love this place, they have helped so much with my pain. Very friendly receptionist (10/10), physios are amazing and they have everything you ever need to get better.
Great clinic and wonderful practitioners
Highly recommend this great friendly team.
I had an initial appointment with physio Marina for sciatic pain, she was wonderful, figured out the cause of my pain, created a management plan for me, gave me treatment and answered all of my questions. Very efficient but I didn’t feel rushed, and she was very personable and easy to talk to. I also found the front desk staff friendly and booking process easy. Would highly recommend!

Global MND Awareness Day 🧠

Last week marked MND day. MND or Motor Neuron Disease causes messages from the motor neurones to gradually stop reaching the muscles. This leads the muscles to weaken, stiffen and waste. MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. Some people also experience changes in their thinking and behaviour.

There is no cure for MND but regular treatment can help to retain function and quality of life and provide comfort.

Our allied health team can assist with MND and can help patients live fuller lives through a range of our services including Physiotherapy, OT, Dietetics and Exercise Physiology 🏃‍♂️

Men's Health Week 2022

There are five key barriers that prevent men from seeking support and information for their health. It's important that we break these barriers down and encourage men that their health is not worth hiding behind!

Understanding the five barriers 👇
1. Hoping it's not an issue?
You might be experiencing denial

2. Taking too long to do something about your health?
This is known as delayed information seeking

3. Worried that asking for help is perceived as being weak?
This is called the social construct of masculinity and it can be a barrier to us looking after our health

4. Have trouble talking about your health?
Feeling nervous or embarrassed about starting a conversation can be a barrier to getting the support you need.

5. Not sure what information to trust?
Figuring out what health information you can trust can be a barrier to taking action on our health.

Saturday marked National Cheese Day! 🧀

We all love a little bit (or a lot!) of cheese in our diets but sometimes cheese can come with the stigma that it's not good for us. To help clear that myth up, Sports & Spinal Dietitian Caitlin has weighed in on what she thinks about cheese in our diets 👇

Cheese Pros:
🧀 Good source of protein and calcium
🧀 Lots of different types that can be used for different things
🧀 Hard cheeses are low in lactose so are still suitable for people with lactose intolerance

Things to be mindful of:
🧀 Can be more energy-dense, so you may like to choose lite options depending on your nutrition goals
🧀 Need to be mindful of food safety when including them in sandwiches/salads/other dishes
🧀 Need to keep cold with an ice brick in a cool bag when at school or work if you don't have access to a fridge

If you need help with their cheese intake or diet get in touch with your local Sports & Spinal team today!
Do you know what MS is? How does it affect the human body? Can it be treated? Let us explain 👇

🧠 Multiple sclerosis (MS) is one of the most common diseases of the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). Today, 2.8 million people around the world have MS.

🧠 MS is an inflammatory demyelinating condition. It is caused by damage to myelin – a fatty material that insulates nerves. In MS, the loss of myelin affects the way nerves conduct electrical impulses to and from the brain. Symptoms can include blurred vision, weak limbs, tingling sensations, unsteadiness, memory problems, and fatigue.

🧠 Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40. MS is two to three times more common in women than in men. There is no drug that can cure MS, but treatments are available which can modify the course of the disease.
