North Lakes Sports & Spinal features on-site car parking as well as an onsite gym with Pilates equipment. We’re NDIS registered, and Medicare rebates and HICAPS health fund claims are available. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are also available for payment. Siliva Tufuga

Lower Back & Spinal Rehab

Originally from New Zealand but graduating from The University of Queensland, Siliva has developed extensive international experience over 20 years of clinical practice including both Australia and the UK. In England, he was the team leader of a specialised group of advanced orthopaedic clinicians and helped to successfully develop the GP screening clinics and Injection Therapy service. Upon his return home, he has spent the past few years treating active Australian troops at the large military base in Enoggera, Brisbane where overloading of the spine and effective return to military service go hand-in-hand.

Accordingly, Siliva has vast knowledge in treating spinal disorders and low back pain. He enjoys working with his patients to identify and resolve their daily pain issues and implement strengthening strategies to prevent future occurrences.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his young family and is an IRB Level 2 rugby coach.

Maddie Franco

Physiotherapist

Maddie graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (First Class Honours) at the University of Queensland. Maddie places an importance on a personalised holistic treatment approach and has a passion for improving patient quality of life. She has experience in neurological rehabilitation in community nursing homes and in running hydrotherapy and exercise classes. Maddie provides in-home falls and balance prevention training as well as respiratory and post-op care. She is always eager to engage in ongoing professional development and learn new evidence-based approaches to treatment. Outside of work, Maddie enjoys scuba diving, hiking and netball.

Erica Werner

General Physiotherapy

Erica graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the Australian Catholic University. She enjoys working with patients to relieve their pain as well as implement preventative strategies to help reduce the chance of re-injury. Erica is passionate about helping patients return to their optimal function whether that’s back to sport, work or chosen hobby. She enjoys working together with patients towards achieving their goals in a variety of settings including in treatment rooms, hydrotherapy pool and CSM (Clinical Pilates) classes.

Outside of work, Erica is an active person who loves group gym classes, taking her dog for walks and spending time in the kitchen.

Haleh Faham

Women's Health

Haleh graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2009 and has since been working in private practice as well as the hospital and community aged care settings. She has a special interest and training in Women’s Health and incontinence physiotherapy and helps women better understand and manage their conditions. She continues to have a keen interest in developing her knowledge and skills to enhance her treatment approach.

Haleh enjoys helping patients through exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. Her true satisfaction is having a positive impact on a person’s overall health, happiness and ability to live their life to the fullest.

Outside work, Haleh loves hiking, swimming, playing keyboard and oil painting

Ashleigh East

Remedial Massage Therapist

Ashleigh has been practicing massage for over 5 years and completed her Remedial Massage Therapy studies at the Australian Institute of Applied Science in early 2016. She is very results driven and loves to see improvement in her clients and their well-being.
Ashleigh uses Cupping, Trigger Point Therapy, and Deep Tissue/ Remedial techniques to ensure her clients walk away with more movement and less tension with a special interest in the management of chronic headaches and neck tension. She is also trained in relaxation and pregnancy massage.

Denys Denysov

Remedial Massage Therapist

Denys is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist having completed his Diploma with Q Academy on the Sunshine Coast. He incorporates Neuromuscular Therapy Techniques, Myofascial releases, Mobilisations, Trigger point Therapy, and Muscle Energy Techniques within his massage sessions. He has a strong interest in treating neck and shoulder injuries, headaches, back and hip pain, and post-surgical pain management.

Emily Stewart

Exercise Physiologist

Emily is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist since completing a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at the Queensland University of Technology. Emily is highly passionate about helping people and believes she can help you with the use of tailored evidenced based exercise programs and lifestyle modification. Her highly welcoming and caring personality will put you at ease, enabling you to thrive throughout your rehabilitation journey. Emily has a keen interest in neurological and musculoskeletal conditions and is also a Clinical Pilates Instructor. Emily enjoys integrating this into her sessions to help improve movement efficiency.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys everything outdoors, travelling and art and is currently training for a half marathon.

Chelsea McCallum

Dietitian

Chelsea is passionate about empowering clients to transform their health and prevent chronic disease. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of the Sunshine Coast, Chelsea has experience in a wide range of nutrition areas such as weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, irritable bowel syndrome, malnutrition and sports nutrition.

From a young age, Chelsea has been involved in many sports from touch football to volleyball. More recently she enjoys engaging in outdoor activities to keep fit. Outside of work, Chelsea can be found in her kitchen, at the beach or running up one of the Glass House Mountains.

Chelsea is available for Dietitian appointments online as well as at our Chermside, Kawana, Landsborough, Maroochydore, North Lakes, Nambour and Sippy Downs locations.
