North Lakes Sports & Spinal features on-site car parking as well as an onsite gym with Pilates equipment. We’re NDIS registered, and Medicare rebates and HICAPS health fund claims are available. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are also available for payment. Sports & Spinal also have telehealth consultations available for Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Dietitian, Podiatry, Occupational Therapy and Psychology for clients Australia-wide. Our telehealth platform enables allied health Practitioners to use telehealth for secure video consultations and live exercise demonstrations. Our Telehealth consultations will continue to deliver the same outstanding level of care as our in-clinic services, where our experienced clinicians will provide a tailed treatment plan to help reach their health goals. Siliva Tufuga

Lower Back & Spinal Rehab

Originally from New Zealand but graduating from The University of Queensland, Siliva has developed extensive international experience over 20 years of clinical practice including both Australia and the UK. In England, he was the team leader of a specialised group of advanced orthopaedic clinicians and helped to successfully develop the GP screening clinics and Injection Therapy service. Upon his return home, he has spent the past few years treating active Australian troops at the large military base in Enoggera, Brisbane where overloading of the spine and effective return to military service go hand-in-hand.

Accordingly, Siliva has vast knowledge in treating spinal disorders and low back pain. He enjoys working with his patients to identify and resolve their daily pain issues and implement strengthening strategies to prevent future occurrences.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his young family and is an IRB Level 2 rugby coach.

Montana Waddington

Physiotherapist

Born and raised in Australia, Montana graduated from the University of Queensland with 1st Class Honours. Having completed her Physiotherapy degree, she went on to work in private sports and musculoskeletal practice. It was there that she further developed her knowledge and application of manual therapy and soft tissue release techniques. She also completed courses in Dry Needling and Western Acupuncture and conducted regular Mat Pilates sessions.

Montana has recently returned from working in the UK where she gained invaluable experience in a private hospital and in private practice in central London. On the orthopaedic ward, Montana fostered her understanding of surgical procedures and protocols and developed key relationships with some of the world’s leading surgeons.

Her most recent role was in the boutique health and fitness space combining hands-on treatment with Dynamic Reformer Pilates. She taught group classes and quickly establishing herself a leading Pilates Clinician in the heart of London. Montana helped her previous company develop pre and postnatal care pathways and is always looking to extend her knowledge in this space. Her exercise prescription skills are a testament to the quality of training she received overseas.

Being a keen runner, gym-goer, and cook, Montana loves promoting a healthy (but balanced) lifestyle. She enjoys working with patients from all walks of life, and utilising the talented team here at Sports and Spinal to help her clients achieve their goals.

Harris Johnston

General Physiotherapy

Harris graduated with a Master of Physiotherapy along with a Bachelor of Exercise Science from Griffith University. He loves working collectively with patients to assist in achieving their goals and to relieve their pain through various treatment modalities. Whether it be in the treatment rooms, hydrotherapy pools, gym or CSM (Clinical Pilates) classes. Harris also enjoys implementing rehabilitation programs and preventative strategies to reduce the risk of re-injury.

Outside of work, Harris maintains an active lifestyle through mountain trail hikes, going to the gym and enjoys his days off at the beach with friends

Sherry Latonero

Remedial Massage Therapist

Sherry graduated Diploma of Remedial Massage at Q Academy. Sherry decided to become a Remedial Massage Therapist as she is passionate and wanted to be able to help patients increase their body movement. Sherry was drawn to remedial massage as she has always been fascinated by how the body works and understanding how pain can affect people lives. Sherry does Trigger point, Myofascial Release and Mobilisation.

When Sherry is not at work you can find her Hiking and spending time with family. Sherry loves nature and being outdoors. Sherry has recently been travelling to Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, China, and USA. She can’t wait to do more travel in the future!

Emily Stewart

Exercise Physiologist

Emily is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist since completing a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at the Queensland University of Technology. Emily is highly passionate about helping people and believes she can help you with the use of tailored evidenced based exercise programs and lifestyle modification. Her highly welcoming and caring personality will put you at ease, enabling you to thrive throughout your rehabilitation journey. Emily has a keen interest in neurological and musculoskeletal conditions and is also a Clinical Pilates Instructor. Emily enjoys integrating this into her sessions to help improve movement efficiency.

In her spare time, Emily enjoys everything outdoors, travelling and art and is currently training for a half marathon.

Kerryn Wilson

Exercise Physiologist

Kerryn is an accredited Exercise Physiologist after completing a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Kerryn truly believes that exercise is a way of life and moving your body has endless benefits that you can’t get from anything else. Kerryn is passionate about helping people and sharing her knowledge to help others. Her extremely friendly, motivating and caring personality will ensure you get the best experience possible throughout your journey. Kerryn has an interest across all areas and is developing one in neurological conditions.  Kerryn has had a lot of teaching experience and uses this when it comes to teaching exercises and technique.

Outside of work, Kerryn loves swimming, being active outdoors and dancing.

Tarni Sanewski

Dietitian

Tarni is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who is passionate about improving health, promoting recovery and preventing disease by inspiring healthy diet and lifestyle choices using a patient-centred approach. Graduating from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Nutrition & Dietetics, Tarni has since had clinical experience working with acute cardiac and respiratory patients in the hospital. Special interest areas include rehabilitation, weight management, cardiovascular disease, and gut health.

Outside of work, Tarni enjoys hiking, climbing mountains, exploring new places, drawing and photography. She is always experimenting with new foods, recipes and keeping up to date with the latest research in nutrition and dietetics.

Samantha Kiorgaard

Dietitian

Samantha studied a Bachelor of Dietetics at the University of the Sunshine Coast and is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian. Samantha provides a warm and understanding environment in which she supports clients on their journey to improved wellbeing and quality of life. With her knowledge of food and medical nutrition therapy, she encourages sustainable eating behaviours and provides dietary advice that is guided by a client-centred approach, tailoring to the individual needs and unique background of each person. Samantha believes that food doesn’t have to be complicated in order to lead a healthy lifestyle and is meant to be enjoyed. Samantha has special interests in weight management (including the Health At Every Size approach), chronic disease management, gastrointestinal issues and elderly nutrition.

Louise Dunn

Podiatrist

Louise Dunn gained her Bachelor of Science (podiatry) degree at the University of Brighton in the UK. She previously worked in the NHS, focusing on Diabetes/wound management and rehab care for a number of years. Louise emigrated with her family to Australia in 2003 and has continued with her work in the private sector, providing a range of treatments from general foot care to orthotic therapy, nail surgery, footwear advice and children’s feet. Louise does both clinical work and home visits in the local community, treating private patients, DVA, EPC and Transition Care.

Thomas Abraham

Podiatrist

Tom graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Podiatry. Since leaving university he has gained an interest in sports injuries, biomechanics and wound care and is always looking to learn more allowing him to provide the best treatment he can. Tom has also spent some time working with running footwear specifically ASICS.

During school and university, Tom was actively involved in playing soccer, tennis and completed in athletics up to a state-level on a few occasions. Tom is a keen traveller spending a year in Europe in and some time in Nepal volunteering and completing the Everest base camp trek. Tom also enjoys snowboarding when he can

Julia Camporeale

Psychologist

Julia has many years of experience as both a psychologist and physiotherapist making her perfectly positioned to have a great understanding of both professions, particularly the overall pain experience and its underpinnings and complexities for clients. Through working for many years with physiotherapy injuries but also in areas of long term pain throughout many regions of Australia, Julia has developed her skills and a deep understanding of both physical pain and the psychology behind it. Julia has worked in the paediatric physiotherapy field for over three years and has developed a specialist area in working with children, particularly with autism spectrum disorder and in disability management.
