Andrew Spencer

Andrew is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who is passionate about helping people achieve meaningful health, performance, and lifestyle outcomes through exercise. Andrew gained extensive clinical experience both during and prior to his studies at the University of Queensland, where he completed a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours). His early work as an Allied Health Assistant in gym, hydrotherapy, and home-based programs exposed him to a wide range of conditions and sparked his commitment to guiding clients through recovery and disease management.

Andrew has a strong clinical interest in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation, where he enjoys the challenge and reward of helping people restore independence, confidence, and function. He also has a focus on chronic illness management and is passionate about supporting clients to improve their ability to perform daily activities, enhance their autonomy, and prioritise long-term wellbeing. His approach is evidence-based and shaped by empathy, collaboration, and education, ensuring that each program is meaningful, achievable, and impactful for the individual.

Outside of the clinic, Andrew has represented Queensland in Futsal but now spends much of his time fishing and running after his two young children. On game days, he can be found passionately supporting his beloved Arsenal, a lifelong obsession that he admits takes up more emotional energy than it probably should.

Andrew is available for exercise physiology consultations at Sports & Spinal Mt Gravatt.
