Shannon Chan
Shannon holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of Queensland. She has completed her clinical Pilates certification, which played a key role in her own recovery from persistent lower back pain and now forms an integral part of her treatment approach. Shannon has worked as a sports trainer for the Southwest Metro Pirates and had a placement at the Queensland Firebirds during her studies.
Shannon is passionate about helping all individuals stay active through injury and return to doing what they love with confidence and resilience. As a former ballet dancer whose career was cut short by chronic back pain, Shannon pursued physiotherapy to share the love of movement with others to help them discover their true potential. She values movement-based rehabilitation and empowering patients to take ownership of their recovery through evidence-based care that involves tailored manual therapy and exercise techniques.
Outside of the clinic, you will find Shannon running along the Brisbane river with some friends or at the gym training for her next Hyrox or half-marathon. If the weather allows, you can often find Shannon at the beach on the weekends.
Shannon is available for physiotherapy consults at Sports & Spinal Indooroopilly.
