Damien Moore

Originally a Sunshine Coast local, Damien graduated from UQ in 1999 and has predominately worked in private practice in Tasmania for last 25 years as well as providing services to the Tasmanian Institute of Sport, Tennis Australia and AFL Tasmania. Damien is a titled Sports and Exercise Physiotherapist having completed a post-graduate Masters in Sports Physiotherapy in 2006 from Latrobe University and then completed a Doctorate in Physiotherapy in 2020 from Latrobe University.

Has a particular interest in hip and lower limb conditions from his doctorate research on the most effective therapeutic exercises for the buttock muscles but is experienced in a wide range of musculoskeletal and sports conditions around the body. Damien has also completed extra qualifications in dry needling, DMA Pilates, and the McKenzie Method and is a member of the College of Physiotherapists and Sports Medicine Australia.

Damien’s passion is to optimise specific exercise-based, self-management strategies to assist his clients in managing their condition in the short and longer term.

Away from work has a keen interest in keeping fit and active through gym, running, swimming, social soccer and pickleball as well as reading and listening to music.
