Jesse McKenzie

Jesse graduated with a Masters of Clinical Exercise Physiology, alongside a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, and brings a strong evidence-based approach to his clinical practice. He has a special interest in musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation and injury prevention, while also enjoying the full scope of exercise physiology, including cardiometabolic, neurological, and chronic disease management.

Jesse’s passion for musculoskeletal rehabilitation stems from his own experience managing a severe lower back injury sustained through powerlifting. Through the rehabilitation process and returning to pain-free movement, Jesse saw first-hand how targeted, well-prescribed exercise can dramatically improve quality of life. This experience sparked his commitment to helping others overcome pain, rebuild confidence, and return to the activities that matter most to them.

Jesse is deeply motivated to achieve outcomes his clients may never have thought possible and strives to deliver the highest quality, person-centred care. He values working closely with clients to develop tailored, sustainable exercise programs that support long-term health, function, and independence.

Outside the clinic, Jesse enjoys staying active through all things sport and gym-related, watching every Brisbane Broncos game, and spending time at the beach. He also loves playing guitar and, most of all, quality time with family.

Jesse is available for Exercise Physiology appointments at Sports & Spinal Chermside.
