Trent completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland, followed by a Masters of Physiotherapy (Sports) at the University of South Australia. He developed an extensive variety of treatment skills from working in Australia and the USA.

Trent has worked on the Sunshine Coast for over 20 years and provided treatment of patients to numerous medical and orthopaedic specialists. He has a high degree of experience in managing shoulder conditions, post-operative rehabilitation, musculoskeletal disorders and sports injuries.
Following a competitive sporting background in hockey and triathlon, Trent now maintains an active lifestyle with his family involved in surfing, surf-lifesaving, hockey and golf.

Trent is available for Physiotherapy appointments at our Maroochydore and Kawana locations.

A vaginal pessary is a silicon device that is used to support the walls of the vagina when there is pelvic organ prolapse (POP). This can be the prolapse of the bladder, bowel or uterus 🤸‍♀️

There are many different types of pessaries catering for different prolapses or incontinence. Our Women's Health Physio team can decide which pessary to use that is most suitable for your condition and support your individual needs.

What does the research show? 🔎

✔️Combining pelvic floor muscle training and pessary fittings led to twice as many women perceiving improvements in prolapse symptoms and POP-specific quality of life. 

✔️When a pessary is fitted, significantly greater improvements are made in reducing prolapse symptoms like discomfort, urinary issues, and defecatory issues.

✔️The use of pessaries when managing POP can delay or even avoid the need for surgical intervention. Plus, pessary fittings can be used to help manage urinary incontinence, pelvic pain syndromes and aid in constipation management.
