Gretchen Skorzewski
Gretchen completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at UQ in 1992 and has worked in a large variety of settings in Australia and the UK, including hospitals and not for profits. She has undertaken extra training and has extensive experience with cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s Disease, MS and other disabilities with adults and children.
She is also experienced in general musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation, including neck and jaw (TMJ), shoulder and spinal injuries, and enjoys combining the neurological and musculoskeletal facets of her practice to assist her patients to achieve their best outcomes. She incorporates dry needling, manual therapy, exercise and lifestyle aspects into her caring, collaborative, patient- centred approach.
Gretchen is always trying to further her skills and knowledge to continue to help her patients understand and improve their movement, with a combination of external courses, reading and reflection.
In her spare time Gretchen enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 growing children, swimming, hiking and camping, teaching and practising yoga and meditation, and cooking.
Gretchen is available for Physiotherapy appointments at Sports & Spinal Wynnum.
