Samuel Gillespie
Originally from Dalby and a graduate of the University of Queensland with honours, Sam built his clinical foundation where it counts: on the side line and in the rehab room. His 12-month internship with the South Logan Magpies gave him hands-on experience in acute injury management, injury prevention, and high-performance return-to-sport rehabilitation, skills he now brings to every patient he treats, whether they’re a professional athlete or a weekend warrior.
Sam’s passions and areas of specialty include:
- Sports injuries
- Concussion
- Neck and back pain
- Shoulder pain
He has a particular talent for helping active people get back to the sport, training, or lifestyle they love. Having competed in sport himself, he understands the physical and psychological toll that injury takes, and what it actually means to get back to full function, not just pain-free movement.
His approach is direct, evidence-based, and built around your goals. Sam takes the time to understand what you want to achieve, then builds a rehabilitation program designed to get you there and keep you there.
We are very lucky to now call Sam a Sunshine Coast local! Sam enjoys golf, rugby, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. That active, outdoor lifestyle isn’t just a hobby, it’s his passion for health, movement, and sport, driving his commitment to helping patients recover, perform, and live life to their fullest potential.
Sam is available for Physiotherapy appointments at Sports & Spinal Coolum.
