Sports & Spinal Kawana offers Physiotherapy, Pilates, Podiatry, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, Remedial Massage, New You, Hydrotherapy, Group Gym Classes and much more! We also have a fully equipped gym and Pilates studio.
The Sports & Spinal Kawana team uses the latest evidence-based treatments to treat various conditions, including shoulder, neck and back pain, sporting injuries, lower limb conditions, women’s health, headaches, work cover incidents, pre-and post-surgical, motor vehicle accidents and more.

Sports & Spinal Kawana is NDIS registered and accepts Medicare rebates and HICAPS health fund claims. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are also available for payment.

Ashley Ervine is a highly experienced physiotherapist with over 15 years in clinical practice, with a special interest in spinal pain, sacroiliac joint (SIJ) dysfunction, and hip conditions. She effectively manages acute injuries, chronic presentations, and post-operative recovery, helping patients restore function and reduce discomfort through evidence-based, individualized care.
Ashley advanced her skills with postgraduate training in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) in 2013, where she received the Top Case Study Award for her exceptional clinical reasoning and practical application. She is also a qualified Pilates instructor, designing targeted programs that integrate rehabilitation, strength training, and mobility enhancement for optimal long-term outcomes. Complementing her expertise is advanced training in dry needling, which she employs to alleviate muscle tension, manage pain, and improve overall function.
Ashley graduated from Stellenbosch University in South Africa in 2010 and has built a robust career in private practice, emphasizing a collaborative, patient-centred approach. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys family outdoor activities, maintaining an active lifestyle that informs her professional passion

Georgia Canfell
Physiotherapist: Back, Neck and Shoulder Pain
Georgia recently graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with First Class Honours from Central Queensland University in Rockhampton. Her early years were spent in Airlie Beach, where her love for sports began with dancing and swimming, and continued throughout her schooling years—ranging from netball, karate, and volleyball. Her sporting experiences, combined with a passion for helping others, sparked her interest in physiotherapy. After treasuring her time in regional Queensland with her family by her side, she is excited to return to the coastal lifestyle of the Sunshine Coast and grow as a new clinician.
Driven by her bubbly and warm personality, Georgia strives to provide a goal-oriented, holistic approach to patient care. Her compassion and excellent communication skills enable her to understand the unique needs of each patient, ensuring they receive care tailored to their specific concerns. Georgia is committed to helping patients reduce pain, restore function, and achieve their full potential through a personalised treatment plan.
Outside of the clinic, you’ll find Georgia enjoying her days spent at the beach, attending spin and Pilates classes, or exploring the beautiful scenery the Sunshine Coast has to offer, with the occasional enjoyment of a Netflix show or two.

Callum Smith
Shoulder, Neck, Back & Knee Pain Physiotherapist
Callum graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2017 and has since gained extensive experience working in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy practices across Australia, Japan, and Ireland. He has developed strong interest in managing a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, with particular focus on the knee, shoulder, back, and neck.
Throughout his career, Callum has worked closely with elite Rugby League, Rugby Union, and Netball programs, as well as supporting school-based sports on the Sunshine Coast and internationally.

Dion Wallace
Shoulder, Knee & Sports Rehab Physiotherapist
Working in the field for almost a decade, Dion has completed a post-graduate Masters in Physiotherapy on a background of a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science.
Dion likes to think outside the box and help return clients to their optimum level of function, and manage acute and chronic pain, whether that is in the home, at work, or in the sporting environment. Dion has completed additional studies in Sports injury, Musculoskeletal Injury, and Chronic Pain Management and enjoys working with a wide variety of patients to help them achieve their goals.
Dion has a keen interest in AFL and Rugby Union outside of work.

Sophie Hedley
Physiotherapist: Sports Injuries and Lower Back Pain
Sophie recently graduated from University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours). Sophie grew up in a small country town called Narrabri in North West NSW where she spent her school years before moving to Newcastle in 2020. With a lifelong passion for sport, particularly swimming and athletics, Sophie brings a strong foundation in movement and performance in her physiotherapy practice.
Sophie is committed to providing personalised care with a strong focus on communication and building trust. Her approach is centred on making each client feel heard, comfortable, and confident throughout their rehab journey. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, or looking to improve your performance, Sophie aims to support your goals in a positive and motivating environment.
When not in the clinic, you’ll often find Sophie at the gym, soaking up the sun at the beach, or enjoying a game of NRL.

Beth White
Lymphedema Therapist & Massage Therapist
Beth has worked as a Remedial Massage Therapist for 10 years. She has a Diploma of Remedial Massage from Nature Care College.
Coming from Sydney, Beth worked with several chiropractic clinics supporting their clients and therapists. She is a past world champion para triathlete and has extensive experience managing high performing athletes and helping them to accelerate recovery between events.
Beth has additional training in deep tissue, trigger point therapy, pregnancy, relaxation, and sports therapy massage modalities. Beth has managed clients recovering from spinal surgery, sports injuries, stroke and workplace rehabilitation.
Beth is a blind therapist and is supported by her guide dog Queenie. Beth has also worked with Guide Dogs in their community outreach programs, fundraising activities and as a public speaker.

Sophie Nall
Podiatrist
Sophie has completed her Bachelor in Podiatry degree at The Queensland University of Technology and recently relocated to the Sunshine Coast from Brisbane. Through university she worked at The Athlete’s Foot and has extensive knowledge in footwear technologies and prescription for all sorts of activities including running, netball, football and gym specific footwear.
Sophie is passionate about multiple aspects of podiatry including sports injuries, dermatological care and paediatrics. She has a special interest in the rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions and curating individualised treatment plans to get patients back to what they love doing.
Outside of work she likes matcha, a good music playlist and keeps active by running, strength training and reformer classes.

Luke Rogers
Podiatrist - General Care, Sports & Exercise
Luke is an experienced podiatrist who has been operating in private practice for over 14 years, with 2 years of rural experience with Queensland Health.
Luke volunteered for several years with the Queensland Podiatry Board and was appointed president in 2017, providing insight and experience at an industry body level. This combination of experience and study has led him to gain a strong reputation as a caring and trustworthy practitioner.
Luke has comprehensive experience in podiatry and enjoys all aspects, from mechanical assessment and sports injuries to ingrown nails and plantar warts. Luke likes fixing feet problems. In addition to his Bachelor of Science (Podiatry) at QUT, Luke also has a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, which talks to his interest in sport-related injury management and prevention.
Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast, Luke has an inherent love for sports, camping and the outdoors. He is a keen golfer and enjoys helping to coach his children’s soccer teams.

Shannon Chilman
Exercise Physiologist: Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Injury Prevention, Women's Health Conditions
Shannon is an experienced exercise physiologist with a special focus on women’s health, particularly pregnancy, perimenopause, and menopause taking an integrated approach with our dedicated Women’s Health Physiotherapy team. Shannon combines this passion with an exceptional understanding and passion for adolescent athletics. Originally from the USA, Shannon holds a Bachelor’s in Athletic Training and a Master’s in Exercise and Sports Medicine. Additionally, she completed a Master’s in Clinical Exercise Physiology at Australian Catholic University in Brisbane.
Shannon takes a holistic approach to supporting her clients, recognizing that achieving health and wellness involves nurturing the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. She believes that exercise should be enjoyable, not a chore, and works hard to ensure that every session is engaging and fun.
Having lived on the Sunshine Coast for the past 10 years, Shannon enjoys spending her free time enjoying the local beaches and chasing after her two toddlers.

Tenikka Mogno
Exercise Physiologist: Musculoskeletal and Return to Work Rehabilitation, Chronic Disease Management
Tenikka completed her exercise physiology degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2017. Tenikka is driven to help people manage their conditions through exercise prescription and education on behaviour change for long-term management.
Tenikka has many years of experience working with chronic disease management including musculoskeletal, neurological, and metabolic conditions, in particular working largely in the NDIS and Work Cover space. Her welcoming nature has her patients at ease and open to setting new goals and creating positive change.
Outside of work she spends her time at the gym, in the garden or reading a good book.

Courtney Bruce
Accredited Practising Dietitian
Courtney is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with over a decade of experience in the healthcare sector. She has worked extensively in both hospital and community settings, supporting individuals in achieving their health and nutrition goals. Courtney holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science (Nutrition and Dietetics), which she completed in 2011.
She has a particular interest in the nutrition management of chronic diseases, Parkinson’s disease, weight management, and women’s health. Courtney adopts a client-centred approach, working collaboratively to develop tailored strategies that align with each individual’s unique health goals and lifestyle.
Outside of her professional practice, Courtney enjoys spending time at the beach, camping, dining out, travelling to new destinations, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Known for her warm and approachable manner, Courtney strives to create a supportive environment where clients feel comfortable and empowered. She looks forward to partnering with you on your journey toward improved health and wellbeing.

Johnny graduated from James Cook University in 2019 and specialises in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, also providing tailored care for clients under the NDIS. He loves helping people achieve ambitious goals, whether it’s returning to running, kayaking, or even picking up fishing again.
In 2022, Johnny became Clinical Mentor & Sports Medicine Coordinator for the Solomon Islands Institute of Sport, supporting athletes across 22+ sports for the 2023 Pacific Games, often treating under coconut trees, a career highlight! He’s also a qualified Strength & Conditioning Level 1 Coach, trained in Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling.
