Dion Wallace

Shoulder, Knee & Sports Rehab Physiotherapist

A Sunshine Coast local, Dion has completed a postgraduate Masters in Physiotherapy on a background of a Bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science. As well as this, Dion is a full member of Sports Medicine Australia and has completed the level 2 APA Sports Physiotherapy course.

Dion passion lies in keeping people active whilst managing acute and chronic injuries. Dion is invested in helping his clients regain their optimal level of function whether that be on the field or in the home. Working closely with top local surgeons Dion also has significant experience with the rehabilitation of those who are undertaking surgery or who are recovering from recent surgery.

Dion’s interests lie in Shoulder and Knee physiotherapy and run a return to sports clinic focusing on high-performance rehabilitation. Recently Dion has been working with the senior sporting teams of Matthew Flinders Anglican College providing a weekly triage service and game-day assistance. Outside of work, Dion has a keen interest in AFL, Rugby Union and surfing.

Andrew Duff

Lower Limb & Sport Injuries

Andrew Duff has been working with both a national level and international athletes since graduating in NZ with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2004 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2009.
Throughout this time he has worked with NZ Youth Olympic, Winter Olympic & Paralympic athletes, including being part of a successful gold medal Paralympic campaign in 2010, Sochi 2014, and most recently South Korea in 2018.
Andrew enjoys working with and supporting his patients to achieve their goals, applying his extensive knowledge and experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and injury prevention to fully rehabilitate your injuries and develop and strengthen performance in your selected area.

Joakim Wisting

Shoulder & Neck Rehab

Originally from Norway, Joakim completed his physiotherapy degree in South Australia, before working throughout Australia and Europe in both hospital and private practice. Through regular postgraduate courses, Joakim has developed a special interest and knowledge in the treatment of the shoulder, upper limb, and the pelvis. Joakim has a special interest in mixed martial arts and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, which he keeps fit through regular training and competing in.

Sabrina Maynard

Sabrina graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at Central Queensland University. Sabrina is passionate about providing the utmost quality of care for all patients with a focus on an individualised holistic approach. Sabrina has a keen interest in sport especially netball, cricket, rugby league and rugby union. She loves working with a variety of people and prides herself on being friendly and approachable. She wants to help you get back to your daily living and reach your goals as soon as possible. Mitchell Hill

General Physiotherapist

Recently completed Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) at CQUniversity. Mitch was able to experience a wide variety of clinical settings. Mitch developed a real passion for working as part of a team of health professionals who strive to provide the best possible patient-centred care.

Mitch aims to use my physiotherapy skills and previous experience in sport and exercise to best provide patients with effective and holistic care to suit their needs. Mitch particularly values the importance of clear communication and education with patients to ensure the best quality treatments. Mitch understands that people don’t want to dwell on what they can’t do and enjoys empowering people to be the best they can be. Mitch also enjoys working closely with patients to help them accomplish their goals, great and small. 

Mitch enjoys living an active lifestyle and has a passion for the sport; particularly cricket and AFL. Moving from Rockhampton, Mitch is looking forward to the cooler weather and embracing all the great sights the coast has to offer.

Renee Shaw

General Physiotherapy

Renee graduated from the University of Queensland in 2013 with first class honours. Her passion is for musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, particularly acute injury management, spinal conditions and pre and post-natal patients. She also has extensive experience in clinical Pilates, teaching since 2013 and completing her APPI equipment certification in 2017.

Renee has a strong background in sport, currently participating in triathlons and running events on the Sunshine Coast. She has also completed extra professional development in running assessments and strength & conditioning, combining her love of sport, exercise and physiotherapy. Renee has recently moved to the Sunshine Coast to study medicine, and in her spare time loves running, cycling and hiking around the coast.

Alice Latham

Neurological & Hip Rehab

Alice is a UK Qualified Physiotherapist. She has a Sports and Exercise Science degree from Loughborough University and Completed a Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Southampton. She has experience working in both the acute and community sectors of the National Health Service in the UK, where she developed a range of skills, as well as a specialist interest in Stroke and Neurological rehabilitation as well as elderly care.

Alice is a lover of all things active, getting outdoors and healthy living. She has been involved in competitive sports all her life, competing at national and international levels in Swimming, Running, Netball and most recently Triathlons. She has great interest and passion for rehabilitation, exercise and Pilates.

Tenikka Mogno

Exercise Physiologist

Tenikka completed her Clinical Exercise Science Degree at the University of the Sunshine Coast with a passion to help people manage their chronic disease or injury through evidence-based exercise prescription and education. Tenikka has a special interest in working with people with Type 2 Diabetes, osteoporosis, and low back pain. Her positive and welcoming attitude makes you feel at ease through your journey of recovery and a healthier lifestyle.

Tenikka has gained experience running cardiac, diabetes and hydrotherapy group classes and throughout her final year of study worked closely with paraplegics, neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

Laura Swingler

Exercise Physiologist

Laura is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist who graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of clinical exercise science. Since completing her university qualifications, Laura has gone on to complete her level 1 strength and conditioning accreditation with Australian Strength and Conditioning Association, working with paralympic swimmers and the Sunshine Coast Lightning during this time.

Laura believes in keeping people active whilst managing chronic conditions and helping them return to optimal health.  Laura has found her passion in assisting people back to full function; By establishing a long-term personalised plan to ensure the prevention of relapse of injury.Laura has developed a special interest in strength and conditioning, return to sport, pre and post-operative rehabilitation, osteoporosis and chronic disease management

Cheyne Lee

Exercise Physiologist

Cheyne completed a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of the Sunshine Coast where she discovered how exercise can truly be medicine. She finds joy in helping people improve their independence and lead happier, healthier lives with their loved ones. With her warm and bubbly personality, she will ensure you feel supported and empowered to achieve your health goals through a holistic, evidence-based approach.

Cheyne has experience in the prevention and management of osteoporosis/osteopenia and has special interests in individualised exercise prescription for chronic health conditions such as cardiac and metabolic diseases as well as neurological conditions such as stroke and Parkinson’s disease.

Additionally, Cheyne runs hydrotherapy sessions and is also a qualified Pilates instructor, delivering Core Strength Mobility (CSM) classes.

Beth White

Remedial Massage Therapist

Beth has worked as a Remedial Massage Therapist for 10 years. She has a Diploma of Remedial Massage from Nature Care College.

Coming from Sydney, Beth worked with several chiropractic clinics supporting their clients and therapists. She is a past world champion para triathlete and has extensive experience managing high performing athletes and helping them to accelerate recovery between events.

Beth has additional training in deep tissue, trigger point therapy,  pregnancy, relaxation, and sports therapy massage modalities. Beth has managed clients recovering from spinal surgery, sports injuries, stroke and workplace rehabilitation.

Beth is a blind therapist and is supported by her guide dog Queenie. Beth has also worked with Guide Dogs in their community outreach programs, fundraising activities and as a public speaker.

Jess Taranto

Remedial Massage Therapist

Jessica has lived on the Sunshine Coast for 5 years which is where she has completed her studies as a Sports Massage Therapist. She loves coastal life and is very passionate about fitness as she also works as a fitness instructor. Alongside fitness, Jessica is a big advocate for mental health and volunteers her time to companies such as Beyond Blue.

Jessica has had experience with treating sporting teams such as the Adelaide thunderbirds netball team. She practices trigger point work and deep tissue sports massage. Other modalities she offers is cupping and shortly, dry needling. By providing a quick assessment, Jessica can present you with contributing factors as to why you may be struggling with musculoskeletal discomfort. Jessica is very passionate about sports massage as she believes that it can drastically improve one’s quality of life.

Tarni Sanewski

Dietitian

Tarni is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who is passionate about improving health, promoting recovery and preventing disease by inspiring healthy diet and lifestyle choices using a patient-centred approach. Graduating from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Nutrition & Dietetics, Tarni has since had clinical experience working with acute cardiac and respiratory patients in the hospital. Special interest areas include rehabilitation, weight management, cardiovascular disease, and gut health.

Outside of work, Tarni enjoys hiking, climbing mountains, exploring new places, drawing and photography. She is always experimenting with new foods, recipes and keeping up to date with the latest research in nutrition and dietetics.

Ainslee O'Connell

Podiatrist

Ainslee graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine (Honours) and has been working in private practice since.

Ainslee completed her honours research in the biomechanical field, with her paper ‘The effect of dynamic movement tasks on the restrictive properties of rigid strapping tape’, being presented at the 2019 Australian Podiatry Conference. With a passion for all things lower limb, Ainslee has a special interest in musculoskeletal conditions, biomechanics, injury prevention and footwear prescription/advice. Outside of Podiatry Ainslee is a keen netballer and enjoys all things sport related.

Luke Rogers

Podiatrist

Luke is an experienced podiatrist who has been operating in private practice for over 14 years, with 2 years of rural experience with Queensland Health. Luke volunteered for a number of years with the Queensland Podiatry Board and was appointed as President in 2017, proving insight and experience at an industry body level.
This combination of experience and study has led him to gain a strong reputation as a caring and trustworthy practitioner.
Luke has comprehensive experience in all areas of podiatry and enjoys all aspects from mechanical assessment and sports injuries to ingrown nails and plantar warts Luke just
likes fixing feet problems. In addition to his Bachelor of Science (Podiatry) at QUT, Luke also a Bachelor of Sport and
Exercise Science, which talks to his interest in sport-related injury management and prevention.
Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast, Luke has an inherent love for sports, camping and the outdoors. He is a keen golfer and enjoys helping to coach his children’s soccer teams.
