Robina Sports & Spinal has moved! We are now located at Unit 4, 20 Scottsdale Drive, Robina. Our clinic is located next to Petbarn.

Robina Sports & Spinal is located in the heart of the Gold Coast, at Unit 4, 20 Scottsdale Drive, Robina. The clinic is a 4-minute drive from the town centre and conveniently located near Merrimac, MudgeerabaVarsity Lakes, Reedy Creek, Clear Island Waters, Mermaid Waters, Tallai, Worongary and Carrara.

The Robina Sports & Spinal team uses the latest evidence-based treatments to treat various conditions, including shoulder, neck and back pain, sporting injuries, lower limb conditions, women’s health, headaches, work cover incidents, pre-and post-surgical, motor vehicle accidents and more.

Our team will provide you with a comprehensive assessment and treatment from start to finish. Our clinicians will work with YOU to facilitate your complete recovery.

Robina Sports & Spinal is NDIS registered and accepts Medicare rebates and HICAPS health fund claims. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are also available for payment.

Ebony Purll

Physiotherapist

Ebony Purll is a dedicated Physiotherapist, graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Griffith University. Passionate about empowering her patients to achieve optimal health and well-being, she is committed to providing evidence-based, holistic care to help individuals overcome pain and injury. With a strong foundation in musculoskeletal and sports injury, Ebony is particularly interested in chronic pain management and women’s health.

As a former swimmer competing at a national level, Ebony brings a unique perspective to her practice. Her experience as a swim teacher and sports trainer has honed her skills in injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation, particularly in AFL and Rugby.

In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities such as running, gym, surfing, and golf, and cherishes quality time with friends, family, and her beloved Border Collie, often exploring the beautiful beaches of the Gold Coast.

Robert Fischer

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Robbie graduated from Griffith University with a Masters of Physiotherapy following a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science.

Robbie has a deep interest in all injuries related to sports, and more particularly neck, shoulder, and lower back. These interests have stemmed from competing at a high level in Surf Lifesaving and working closely with athletes in Rugby Sevens and Surf Lifesaving. Robbie believes in maintaining patients physically active lifestyles whilst rehabilitating their injury. This way the patient continues to enjoy their life whilst on their journey to being pain-free. This approach improves beliefs and ideologies around patients’ pain and condition whilst allowing them to maintain a healthy and happy life.

Outside of Physiotherapy, Robbie has a keen interest in surfing and golf and is how he spends most of his free time. Robbie has grown up on the Gold Coast and has been heavily involved in Surf Lifesaving which is where he developed his passion for community involvement and improvement.

Steph Schultz

Remedial Massage Therapist

Steph is a highly skilled and experienced Remedial and Sports Massage Therapist, boasting over 15 years of expertise in the field. Her journey commenced in 2008, where she delved into the world of professional Rugby League and Union, gaining invaluable insights into the needs of elite athletes and the significance of preventative treatment. In 2011, Steph ventured into entrepreneurship, establishing her own thriving clinic in Brisbane. However, in 2023, she made the decision to relocate to the Gold Coast to prioritise family life with her young child.

Throughout her career, Steph has cultivated a distinctive approach to massage therapy, characterised by her keen attention to detail and intuitive understanding of muscle fibres.

Her goal with every massage is to identify problem areas, educate and restore health, allowing clients to live better, move better and feel better.

Beyond her professional endeavours, Steph is known for her warm and friendly demeanour. When she’s not transforming lives through her therapeutic touch, you can find her on the basketball court or cherishing quality time with her fiancé’ and their one-year-old son.

Steph is currently available for Remedial Massage treatments at the Robina Sports & Spinal every Monday and Thursday.

Nick Hurrell

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Nick studied at Griffith University, where he completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Master of Physiotherapy. He has a keen interest in sporting injuries since working with elite athletes from a range of sports. His interests lie with shoulder, knee and ankle injuries and teaching his patients how best to maximise their rehab journey to get back to what they love doing.

Nick takes a holistic approach to injury management and rehabilitation with a focus on exercise to helping clients achieve their goals and maximise their quality of life. He is always looking to further his knowledge through professional development to ensure he provides his clients with the most relevant, up-to-date, and evidence-based treatments.

Chris Hunt

Remedial Massage Therapist

Chris is a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist with a profound passion for helping individuals experiencing pain and discomfort. With over a decade of experience in exercise and human movement, Chris seamlessly combines this knowledge with remedial therapies to effectively address muscle tension, enhance mobility, and prevent further injury. Whether catering to athletes or those simply seeking to feel their best, Chris tailors each session to meet the unique needs of every client.

With a personal background in AFL, basketball, and athletics, Chris possesses a deep understanding of the physical demands placed on athletes. Having recently worked with professional boxers and Muay Thai fighters, both pre- and post-training, Chris optimises their bodies for success while remaining committed to helping everyday individuals alleviate pain and discomfort from poor posture and musculoskeletal compensations.

In addition to his hands-on practice, Chris is also a Trainer and Assessor in Remedial Massage Therapy, keeping him alongside of the latest industry standards and practices. This commitment to education fuels his passion for teaching, enabling him to empower not only his students but also his clients with simple self-care techniques to enhance their treatments.

Jayden Erskine

Podiatrist - General Care, Sports & Exercise

Jayden graduated from Southern Cross University on the Gold Coast, where he worked in private practice. Jayden is Gold Coast born and bred and has worked for Sports & Spinal on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.

Jayden is passionate about treating patients for all types of foot, ankle, calf, and shin pain, particularly bone and joint, soft tissue, and muscular pathologies. He has a strong interest in sports and musculoskeletal injury management and has been fortunate to work with the Gold Coast Suns AFL and ALFW teams.

Jayden has experience with diabetic assessment, orthotic prescription, footwear assessment and advice, paediatric management, general care, and nail surgeries.

Jayden’s priority is to enable people of all ages to maintain an active lifestyle and deliver tailored treatment solutions based on individual goals.

Jayden is available for Podiatry appointments at our Broadbeach and Robina clinics.

Christina Götzl

Exercise Physiologist

Christina graduated from Southern Cross University with a Master’s in Clinical Exercise Physiology after having completed a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Science. During her studies, Christina has developed an interest in a variety of conditions ranging from musculoskeletal to neurological and chronic conditions. Christina is passionate about showing clients that exercise is medicine and that regular individualised exercise is an essential part to improve one’s physical and mental health.

Additional to her clinical studies, Christina has completed training in Mat and Studio Pilates. Combining resistance-based exercise programs with Pilates to support clients’ rehabilitation is a special interest of hers with a belief that both modalities complement each other wonderfully.

Christina is passionate about helping clients be physically independent and active as much as possible to improve their quality of life. She is highly motivated to provide optimal client service to ensure each individual feels supported on their exercise journey.

Christina is originally from Germany and moved to Australia in 2016 where she fell in love with surfing and Australia’s beautiful nature. She also enjoys participating in Pilates classes, performing strength and surf-based training finished off with an Açaí bowl, coffee, and friends near the beach.

Mahlia Snowden

Exercise Physiologist

Mahlia is a dedicated advocate for health and wellbeing, with a special interest in neurological rehabilitation and women’s health. Originally from the Northern Territory, her journey led her to the Gold Coast, where she completed a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Griffith University in 2023. During her studies, she developed a strong understanding of how the human body moves and functions, and how exercise can play a crucial role in recovery and long-term health.

Driven by a genuine passion to help others improve their quality of life, Mahlia works with a wide range of clients, including those supported by the NDIS, veterans through DVA, and individuals under WorkCover and CTP schemes. She brings a holistic and empathetic approach to each person’s unique needs.

Mahlia also has firsthand experience with the power of sport to promote health and resilience. As an active rugby union player and trainer, she combines her love of sport with her professional knowledge, applying practical insights into how exercise supports strength, mobility, and overall wellbeing.

Mahlia is available for Exercise Physiology consults at our Burleigh and Robina clinics.

Naomi Gould

Dietitian

Naomi is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from Griffith University. With a strong focus on realistic and sustainable strategies, Naomi is passionate about supporting clients in improving their health for the long term. Practising in a weight-inclusive manner Naomi encourages people from all walks of life to feel welcome and confident in seeking out nutrition care. Naomi understands that each client has different needs and values and provides an individualised approach.

Naomi is a generalist Dietitian and can provide support in a variety of areas including but not limited to Chronic Disease Management, Hypercholesterolemia, Hypertension, Diabetes, IBS, PCOS, Coeliacs Disease, nutritional deficiencies, mindful eating, and improving energy and sleep.

In her spare time, you can find Naomi getting lost in a book, surfing, or trying out a new restaurant.
