You can find us on the 3rd floor of the HQ Building (Corner of Riverwalk & Laver Drive) at 36/58 Riverwalk Avenue, with convenient car parking right out the front. The clinic is a 2-minute drive from the town centre and conveniently located near Merrimac, Mudgeeraba, Varsity Lakes, Reedy Creek, Clear Island Waters, Mermaid Waters, Tallai, Worongary and Carrara.

Robina Sports & Spinal clinic features on-site car parking as well as an onsite gym with Pilates equipment. We’re NDIS registered, and Medicare rebates and HICAPS health fund claims are available. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are also available for payment. Bruno Rebello

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy

Bruno is physiotherapist with over 15 years’ experience in the private practice setting. He graduated from his Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2003. In 2006 he completed his Post Graduate Certificate in Trauma and Orthopaedics. Bruno has also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

Some of the highlights of his career include:

– Physio part of the team caring for professional Brazilian Soccer player Ronaldo ‘Phenomenon’;
– Granted rights to practice Physiotherapy in Australia after completing the Australian Physiotherapy Council Exams, a well-known process in the industry due to its high standards;
– Physio for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games working with athletes from Weightlifting and at the Athlete’s Village Polyclinic;
– Physio for the Australian Judo Nationals and Queensland International Open of Judo since 2016;
– Physio for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games 2018 working with athletes from Weightlifting, Wrestling and Badminton

Bruno is passionate about movement analysis and pain science. He thoroughly enjoys working with clients from all backgrounds and has a passion for assisting participants of CrossFit, Gymnasts and Combat Sports. Although gentle by nature, he is a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Bruno also enjoys surfing and weight training.

Veronica Poniatowski

General Physiotherapy

Veronica graduated from the University of South Australia in 2014 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and completed her Certificate III & IV in fitness with Australian Institute of Personal Training in 2015.

Veronica has predominately worked in the private musculoskeletal sector & sports physiotherapy including experience in exercise prescription, Pilates & hydrotherapy and this is where her passion lies! She has also worked with football teams for 5 years & then moved onto working with Crossfit athletes.

Between 2018-2020, Veronica was travelling around Europe, not only experiencing different cultures but also being a registered physiotherapist in the UK and in France where she completed two winter seasons in the French Alps.

Veronica is dedicated and passionate about improving clients clinical experience, general health, fitness and all-over the quality of life!

Veronica loves health, loves fitness, loves travelling & outdoor activities!

She recently moved to Queensland in March 2020 & is very excited to settle into the amazing lifestyle the Gold Coast has to offer!

Kamila Rebello

Remedial Massage

Kamila is Brazilian by birth and Australian by choice. She arrived in Australia in 2008 as an Overseas Qualified Physiotherapist and Remedial Massage Therapist. She has completed several Remedial Massage Therapy Courses in Brazil before completing her Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2006.

In Australia, Kamila has completed a Diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy as well as a Pilates Certificate. Kamila’s training background gives her advanced expertise which she puts at her clients’ disposal by helping them to achieve their full potential.

In Kamila’s toolbox, you will find advanced manual therapy skills such as myofascial releases, trigger point therapy, PNF stretching, muscle energy technique, lymphatic drainage and more.

Kamila is really passionate about her work and having the opportunity to help others along the way.

During her free time, you will find Kamila outdoors with her dog Astro, riding her bike or having a coffee, one of her passions. She is also a beginner Brazilian jiu-jitsu player.

Remedial Massage Therapist

Lisa Qualified as a Remedial Massage Therapist in 2004 at the Australian College of Natural Medicine and has had experience in a range of different environments such as trainer/therapist for football clubs, working in multi-modality clinics, day spas, gym clinics as well as mobile and aged care.

Lisa considers the relationship between her and her clients to be a team and by working together they can work through dysfunction, improving the clients quality of life and wellbeing.

By using a range of techniques such as Deep tissue, Lymphatic drainage, trigger points, muscle energy techniques, relaxation and more, Lisa will individualise each treatment based of the clients needs to see a positive outcome in each treatment.

Podiatrist

Experienced Podiatrist with a special interest in Sports and Running Injuries. Business owner with a demonstrated history of working in the health, wellness and fitness industry. Skilled in Sports Podiatry, Running Analysis, Biomechanics, and treatment of foot, ankle and lower limb sports and running injuries. He has a Bachelor of Health Science, Podiatry from the Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Queensland.

Shannon Darlington

Exercise Physiologist

Shannon completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Graduate Diploma of Exercise Physiology at Griffith University, Gold Coast in 2015. Since graduating Shannon has worked in private practice and has experience working with chronic conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, occupational rehabilitation and injury prevention and management.

Shannon has developed a special interest in neuromuscular conditions, pre and post-operative rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injuries, chronic disease management and weight loss.

Shannon also provides Pilates-based rehabilitation for a wide array of chronic conditions and injury rehabilitation.

Shannon provides a tailored exercise program/class targeted to your individual level of strength, fitness, injuries and goals. Shannon loves helping patients achieve their goals, no matter how big or small they are.

Fareez Shelton

Exercise Physiologist

Fareez completed his Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2017 at University of South Australia. He developed his interest in sports during his high school years where he was involved in various sporting teams. With all of his sporting involvement, Fareez unfortunately suffered multiple injuries in his wrist, shoulders, knee, hip and lower back. It was during his university studies he developed an interest in injury prevention, musculoskeletal strength and conditioning.

Fareez has work with patient from GP referral, NDIS, DVA, Return to work and Private patients. In South Australia, Fareez structured a “vet and mates” program involving past war veterans to be involved with the local community by organising exercise group class and social events. Fareez biggest accomplishment was aiding a bilateral lower limb leg amputee walking without support. Fareez believes that exercise should be fun, enjoyable and achievable.

Fareez enjoys bouldering, surfing, hiking, food, traveling, reading books and socialising. He is also fluent in speaking Malaysian and Indonesian.

Dane Helg

Occupational Therapist

Dane is an accomplished Occupational Therapist with over 3 years of clinical and managerial experience in residential and community aged care.

Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Dane has graduated with a Bachelors degree from Auckland University of Technology and has since developed a special interest in treating affective, neurological and musculoskeletal injuries within the older adult population.

With an extensive background in falls prevention, risk minimisation, equipment prescription, housing modifications and goal orientated practice, Dane is in line with providing the best and latest in Occupational Therapy based services.

As a strong advocate for exercise, Dane is also a committed triathlete, competing in this year’s half iron-man and expanding his knowledge on sports-related injuries.

Joanna Sterling

Psychologist

Joanna completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Master of Psychology (Sport and Exercise) at the University of Queensland. She is a fully registered psychologist with the Australian Heath Practitioner Agency (AHPRA) and also a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Joanna enjoys working with individuals across the lifespan and has experience practising in a range of settings including schools, community health organisations, sporting clubs/teams and in private practice. She has also previously assisted with research into Whiplash Associated Disorders and is an author on several journal articles in this area.

Joanna is a warm and empathetic practitioner who uses an eclectic approach to work towards the goals of her clients. She draws on a range of evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT). Areas of special interest for Joanna include:

  • Developing and supporting healthy lifestyle changes
  • Managing stress, anxiety and depression
  • Supporting recovery from injury
  • Managing chronic health conditions including chronic pain and digestive issues (Irritable Bowel Syndrome)

Dietitian

Kate is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Nutritionist who is passionate about providing expert dietary advice and medical nutrition therapy for a wide range of health conditions and nutrition-related issues. Graduating from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics, Kate’s food philosophy is centred on the ideology that all food should be enjoyed in a balanced lifestyle with a focus placed on eating whole foods. Kate provides tailored, evidenced-based dietary advice to reach your personal goals. Special interest areas include weight management, chronic disease and gastrointestinal health.

All patients are welcome including GP referred, NDIS, DVA, Work Cover and privately paying. Kate is available for dietitian telehealth appointments.

Finding Robina Sports & Spinal and Parking Information:

To find the HQ Building, from the Pacific Motorway M1, take exit 82. Turn onto Robina Parkway and continue towards Robina Shopping Centre. At the first roundabout turn left (onto Laver Drive) and you will see the HQ @ Robina building on your right.

Robina parking is available at the front of the building in the ‘visitor’ car parks. If these are full, we have 2 spaces available on basement level 1. To access the basement level car parks you will need to turn left out of the car park and do a U-turn at the roundabout, followed by a U-turn at the next roundabout, then turn left into Riverwalk Avenue, and the entrance to the Basement car park is on your right. As you enter the Basement car park turn left and we have 2 designated car parking spaces, which are numbered 36.
