Nick Hurrell

Musculoskeletal Physio

Nick studied at Griffith University where he completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Master of Physiotherapy.

He has a keen interest in sporting injuries which came through his own experience as a semi-professional rugby player as well as working closely with elite athletes from a range of sports. Recently, Nick has worked with the Gold Coast SUNS AFL team for the past  4 years as well as contract work with the ACT Brumbies, Kangaroos NRL, Jillaroos NRL, Canberra Raiders, Sydney Roosters and the NSWIS Diving.

Nick takes a holistic approach to injury management and rehabilitation with a focus on exercise to helping clients achieve their goals and maximise their quality of life. He is always looking to further his knowledge through professional development to ensure he is providing the most relevant, up-to-date and evidence-based treatments to his clients. Outside of work, Nick enjoys traveling, running, swimming and cycling.

Mitchell Carney

Spinal health and Mobility

Mitch has completed both a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Doctor of Physiotherapy (Post-Graduate). Both degrees have enabled me to work in clinical and sporting settings treating physical conditions and prescribing exercise. Mitch has previously worked with junior sporting clubs, right up to professional athletes and Olympians. Mitch believes healthcare to be a personal experience and a way for the patient to gain knowledge of their own injury.

Kate Surman

Musculoskeletal Physio

Kate graduated with a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies from the University of Queensland. Since then she has worked solely in private practice treating a range of musculoskeletal conditions. Kate has a special interest in the shoulder and knee and enjoys treating sport related injuries of all levels. She also enjoys working with adolescents.

Kate plays AFL and is currently in the Gold Coast SUNS women’s AFL academy, looking to make into the 2020 AFLW squad. If she is not working or playing footy you will find her doing any type of outdoor activity, in particular, surfing.

Anna Rollo

Remedial Massage Therapist

Anna has over 10 years of experience in the Health industry working at a multidisciplinary clinic in Sydney. She obtained her Diploma of Remedial Massage from TAFE NSW in 2009 graduating with distinctions. She has also received awards for Academic Excellence and Health and Recreation Student of the Year in NSW.

In order to expand her knowledge of the human body, further her skills and achieve better results for her patients, Anna has completed additional training in Fitness at TAFE NSW as well as Kinesio Taping KT1, Thermal Stones, NST, MFR and MET.

Anna believes in the importance of regular massage treatments, exercise and stretching in order to maintain a healthy state of body and mind. She aims to provide a full experience for her patients by professionally advising on overall health, wellbeing and fitness. She believes that a holistic approach to each patient is the key to help ease pain and meet treatment goals. Anna tailors each massage treatment to meet individual needs and she believes that prevention is the best cure.

Anna is a very enthusiastic, passionate and caring person. In her leisure time, she enjoys travelling the planet. Loves to relax at the seaside with family and friends or just read a good book. She also enjoys walking, cycling, yoga and basketball.

Casey Cowie

Dietitian

Casey is passionate about the role that nutrition has on health and well-being. This led her to pursue a career where she is able to utilise her knowledge to facilitate clients in meeting their individual nutrition and health goals. There is never a one size fits all approach when it comes to diet and lifestyle and she is committed to guiding and supporting all of her clients.

She has completed a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, Bachelor of Exercise & Nutrition Science, a Masters in Dietetics (University of Queensland) and is also an ACFED approved eating disorder practitioner. Her areas of interest include chronic disease, weight management, bariatric surgery, allergies/intolerances, vegetarian and vegan diets and eating disorders.

Shannon completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Graduate Diploma of Exercise Physiology at Griffith University, Gold Coast in 2015. Since graduating Shannon has worked in private practice and has experience working with chronic conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, occupational rehabilitation and injury prevention and management.

Shannon has developed a special interest in neuromuscular conditions, pre and post-operative rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injuries, chronic disease management and weight loss.

Shannon also provides Pilates-based rehabilitation for a wide array of chronic conditions and injury rehabilitation.

Vanessa is a qualified Nutritionist, with a Bachelor of Human Nutrition Degree majoring in Public Health. Vanessa is a member of the Nutrition Society of Australia and a certified Sport and Exercise Nutrition Coach.

She specialises in nutrition coaching that teaches the foundations of building and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, the art of weekly meal prepping (so you’ve got more time for the fun things in life) and weight loss.

Vanessa can provide nutrition advice that is based on the individual’s lifestyle and belief system, as she is a  huge believer in one size does not fit all.
