With an emphasis on core conditioning, breathing and body awareness, our Core, Strength & Mobility classes are a safe and highly effective way to stretch, strengthen and streamline your body without building bulk or stressing your joints.
Core, Strength & Mobility classes utilise various exercises that incorporate balance, power, strength and stability.
This can be done either using the Pilates equipment (reformer, trapeze table, exercise ball etc.) in a CSM Studio class or the form of a Mat Class, utilising bodyweight and minimal equipment. From here, we build and progress your program as appropriate with continued advice and education throughout, so you left feeling a better version of YOU.
Our Core, Strength & Mobility classes are a fitness regime for life, performed on a mat or with specialised equipment. The perfect complement to cardiovascular exercise, sport, rehab and life, these classes will leave you looking toned, feeling revitalised and moving with ease.
Both Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists run our classes with Clinical Pilates Experience. Clinical Pilates refers to one-on-one Pilates that are often used for injury rehabilitation and used in conjunction with physiotherapy. Sports & Spinal offers both and can cater to your exact needs.
All patients are required to have an initial assessment with a Physiotherapist before beginning any of our classes. This is to familiarise patients with any equipment, positions, exercises and identify any injuries/restrictions that we may need to be aware of prior to a patient attending a class.
Broadbeach Sports & Spinal is NDIS registered and accepts Medicare rebates and HICAPS health fund claims. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are also available for payment. Parking is available onsite at the Oasis Shopping Center with 3 hours of free parking for our customers. Enter the car park from either Victoria Avenue or Charles Avenue.
Core, Strength & Mobility classes are perfect for toning and reshaping the body. It works on creating long, lean muscles, toning all of those hard to target areas such as the abdominals, inner thighs, buttocks, back of thighs, sides and backs of the arms. For toning, these classes are best performed 3 to 5 times a week through a combination of studio sessions, mat classes and home exercises.
Pilates exercises are performed through a wide range of movements and work on lengthening the muscles at the same time as strengthening them. To increase flexibility, stretching exercises need to be performed daily.
The Clinical Pilates exercises used in our Core, Strength & Mobility classes focus on strengthening the weakened postural muscles and stretching the tight muscles that pull the body into these poor postures. Studio sessions are the best way to improve posture as our physiotherapists can develop a program to target your specific postural problems. Pilates can also be used for back pain as it relaxes and strengthens the muscles, easing the discomfort.
Our Core, Strength & Mobility classes use Clinical Pilates techniques which are fantastic for injury rehabilitation and prevention as it works on core stability, posture, flexibility, and correcting muscle imbalances and weaknesses via specific strengthening. It can be used for arthritis, neck pain, back pain and various injuries.
Pilates is the secret tool that many high level and recreational athletes use to enhance their performance, decrease the risk of injuries and provide much-needed cross-training. Each sport has specific strength and flexibility requirements. When you book in for an assessment, your physiotherapist will look at the things you need to work on to improve your performance and then proceed to design a Pilates program for you.

Kirrily Robinson is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) who graduated from the University of Sunshine Coast Kirrily’s ambition is to inspire, motivate and support clients to create balanced and realistic nutritional goals in order to achieve sustainable long-term health. Kirrily has a friendly and non-judgemental maturity to ensure clients feel comfortable talking about their nutritional goals and provides an individualised approach, understanding that each client has different needs and values for their health journey.
Kirrily’s special interest areas include but are not limited to: Women’s health & pregnancy nutrition, gut health, nutritional deficiencies, building healthy food relationships, diabetes and paediatric nutrition. In her spare time, Kirrily enjoys being active, going for coffee with friends & family and baking delicious recipes.
Kim Wright
Physiotherapist
Kimberley graduated in 2021 from Griffith University with a Master of Physiotherapy after having completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science at Griffith University in 2019. With many years of experience in a sport predominantly in the field of swimming at both club and state levels, she experienced an injury that required intensive rehabilitation. The injury and subsequent rehabilitation required for recovery, set in motion a fascination with how the human body works and the importance of rehabilitation post-injury. Kimberley is a qualified reformer Pilates instructor with a passion for incorporating Pilates into exercise programs to improve one’s health and wellbeing. Kimberley is interested in musculoskeletal, neurological and sports physiotherapy.
Outside of work, Kimberley enjoys the beach, chasing waterfalls, spending time with family and friends and taking reformer Pilates classes for her own health and wellbeing.

Nicholas Roth
General Care, Sports & Exercise Podiatrist
Nicholas graduated from QUT in 2015. Nicholas previously worked in Far North Queensland and on the Sunshine Coast; he relocated to the Gold Coast in 2021 with his wonderful wife and daughter. Nicholas enjoys all things outdoors, and his favourite sport is soccer, where he has played interstate and overseas. On the weekends, he loves fishing, camping and visiting the beautiful beaches all along the Coast. Nicholas has a particular interest in Sports Biomechanics, Paediatric Podiatry and complex caseloads. He is kind and passionate about helping his patients achieve their goals and using the motto “prevention is better than cure” to get there.

Marina Melnikoff
Women's Health/ General Physiotherapist
Marina completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Australian Catholic University. She has completed post-graduate studies in women’s health. She can assist with concerns relating to pre and post-natal incontinence, prolapse management, pelvic floor muscle training, menopause, and other bladder and bowel dysfunctions.
Marina has an extensive sporting background in gymnastics, powerlifting and CrossFit. She also holds a Bachelor of Exercise Science with Honours, which assisted in developing her passion for musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation. Marina believes in taking a holistic approach to patient care and utilising exercise therapy throughout treatment to optimise outcomes and achieve patient goals.
Outside of work, she can often be found at the beach, surfing or diving. She enjoys an active lifestyle outdoors that provides new and exciting challenges.

Anna Rollo
Remedial Massage Therapist
Anna has over 10 years of experience in the Health industry working at a multidisciplinary clinic in Sydney. She obtained her Diploma of Remedial Massage from TAFE NSW in 2009, graduating with distinctions. She has also received awards for Academic Excellence and Health and Recreation Student of the Year in NSW.
To expand her knowledge of the human body, further her skills and achieve better results for her patients, Anna has completed additional training in Fitness at TAFE NSW and Kinesio Taping KT1, Thermal Stones, NST, MFR and MET.
Anna believes in the importance of regular massage treatments, exercise, and stretching to maintain a healthy state of body and mind. She aims to provide a full experience for her patients by professionally advising on overall health, wellbeing and fitness. She believes that a holistic approach to each patient is the key to help ease pain and meet treatment goals. Anna tailors each massage treatment to meet individual needs, and she believes that prevention is the best cure.
Anna is a very enthusiastic, passionate and caring person. In her leisure time, she enjoys travelling the planet. He loves to relax at the seaside with family and friends or just read a good book. She also enjoys walking, cycling, yoga and basketball.
Shannon Darlington

Shannon completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science and Graduate Diploma of Exercise Physiology at Griffith University, Gold Coast, in 2015. Since graduating, Shannon has worked in private practice and has experience working with chronic conditions, musculoskeletal injuries, occupational rehabilitation and injury prevention and management.
Shannon has developed a special interest in neuromuscular conditions, pre and post-operative rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injuries, chronic disease management and weight loss.
Shannon also provides Pilates-based rehabilitation for a wide array of chronic conditions and injury rehabilitation.
Shannon provides a tailored exercise program/class targeted to your individual level of strength, fitness, injuries and goals. Shannon loves helping patients achieve their goals, no matter how big or small they are.

Aleks has 15 years of experience as a Podiatrist with over 30,000 patient consultations. He has a special interest in sports and running injuries, including recently authoring a book called The Runner’s Foot Guide – Feet, Shoes, Myths & Tips. He is a podiatry managing partner at Sports & Spinal with a demonstrated history of working in the health, wellness and fitness industry. Aleks is skilled in Sports Podiatry, Running Analysis, Biomechanics, Running shoe recommendations and Treatment of foot and lower limb conditions. Nick takes a holistic approach to injury management and rehabilitation with a focus on exercise to helping clients achieve their goals and maximise their quality of life. He is always looking to further his knowledge through professional development to ensure he provides his clients with the most relevant, up-to-date, and evidence-based treatments.

❣️Pelvic Floor Retraining
Sometimes the muscles are too tight when there are issues in the pelvis, and this can lead to the original pain, or to compound existing pain. Women’s Health physiotherapists

Prue works as a Women's Health physio at our Chermside Sports & Spinal Practice. Prue is passionate about getting people back to doing what they love. Her treatment plans combine hands-on treatment with tailored exercise programs.
Prue is a qualified Pilates instructor and has completed additional coursework in lateral hip pain. Her most preferred areas to treat include the lower back, hip and pre and post-natal conditions. Prue is currently completing her Women’s Health Physiotherapy training to complement her current skillset.
One of Prue’s strengths as a clinician is using easy-to-understand language to explain complex anatomical terms. She consistently receives raving reviews from her patients.
