Sports & Spinal Morayfield provides remedial massage therapy focused on relieving muscle tension, improving mobility and supporting recovery from injury or physical strain.

Conveniently located near Morayfield Shopping Centre, the clinic supports patients from Caboolture, Bellmere, Upper Caboolture, Moodlu, Burpengary, Burpengary East, Moorina, Rocksberg, Elimbah, Beachmere, Wamuran, Ningi and Sandstone Point, offering accessible, clinically guided massage care across the wider Morayfield and Moreton Bay region.

Massage therapy at Morayfield commonly supports individuals experiencing muscular tightness associated with manual work, prolonged driving, repetitive lifting, gym training or extended desk-based roles. Tension-related headaches, neck stiffness, lower back discomfort and postural strain are frequent presentations.

Our remedial massage therapists use targeted soft tissue techniques to reduce muscle tightness and trigger point irritation, improve circulation and tissue repair, enhance joint mobility, support recovery following injury, and decrease tension-related pain.

Treatment is tailored to your presentation and goals. Whether you are an athlete, tradesperson, office worker or managing general muscular discomfort, sessions are structured to improve function — not simply provide temporary relaxation.

Massage therapy at Sports & Spinal Morayfield is often integrated with Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology programs where appropriate. This collaborative approach ensures soft tissue treatment aligns with broader rehabilitation and strength progression plans.

Sports & Spinal Morayfield is NDIS registered and supports Medicare referrals and private health rebates via HICAPS. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are available onsite.

If you are experiencing muscular tension, stiffness or movement restriction, our Morayfield Massage Therapy team provides practical, therapeutic treatment designed to support recovery and long-term physical resilience.

Remedial massage focuses on identifying the underlying cause of musculoskeletal dysfunction. Remedial massage involves the use of a variety of therapeutic techniques designed to locate and repair damaged areas in your body, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments. Remedial massage can stimulate the blood supply and make joints more mobile. Regular remedial massage will assist in managing recurrent injury or prevention.

Benefits of remedial massage include:

  • Relieve muscle tension
  • Deep Relaxation
  • Increase the range of movement in joints
  • Recover from minor injuries
  • Reduce stress and headache
  • Improve the quality of sleep
  • Increase blood circulation
  • Promote tissue regeneration
  • Reduce scar tissue
  • Speed up the removal of toxins and metabolic waste

Sports massage is a type of massage focusing on loosening muscle fibres caused by sport-related tension and helps aid an athlete’s performance. A sports massage is ideal for people who have sport-related massages or want to improve their recovery post sporting events.
Through the use of hands-on techniques to your muscles, massage aims to increase flexibility and decrease pain. Sports massage will often utilise various modalities such as remedial massage, trigger point therapy, cross fibre techniques and deep tissue work.

Sports massages have a range of benefits such as reaching peak performance, helping the muscles to recover correctly and preparing the body for future exercise.

Massage also helps recovery from soft tissue injuries such as sprains and strains. Everybody experiences some form of stress through work, family, the environment and society. Mental tensions, frustrations and insecurity cause the most damage. Hormones released by stress shrink the vessels, inhibiting circulation.

A stressed mind and body mean the heart works harder. Breathing becomes rapid and shallow, and digestion slows. Nearly every body process is degraded. Studies show that stress can cause migraines, hypertension (high blood pressure), depression, peptic ulcers, etc. In fact, researchers have estimated 80% of disease is stress-related. Soothing and relaxing massage therapy can counteract the effects of stress.

Injuries massage can treat:

  • Headaches & migraines
  • Frozen shoulder
  • Sore shoulder and neck
  • Back pain & sciatica
  • Tennis and golfers elbow
  • Sprains, strains and tears
  • Over-use injuries
  • Shin splints

Lymphatic Massage is commonly referred to as Lymphatic Drainage. Lymphatic drainage is a gentle, rhythmical massage treatment performed by a trained lymphatic massage therapist to stimulate the circulation of lymph fluid around the body. This helps to rapidly speed up the removal of wastes and toxins from a sluggish lymphatic system. Lymphatic Massage can also aid in the prevention of swelling after injury or surgery. It is also thought to provide a major boost to your immune system.

If you have had a recent injury or surgery, suffer from poor circulation or are physically inactive, your limbs may be swollen up and your lymphatic system will need help to be effective again.

With manual Lymphatic Drainage, lymph vessels are stimulated to open up and collect the excess fluid, which is then directed to the lymph nodes where it is filtered and can re-enter the bloodstream.

In addition, lymph nodes filter waste from our body cells and assist the immune system in building an immune response; that is why manual Lymphatic Drainage is also recommended if you want to boost your immune defences and detox.

Some of the conditions that may benefit from lymphatic drainage massage include:

  • Swollen legs or arms due to fluid retention
  • Swelling of a limb: pre or post-surgery
  • Lymphoedema
  • Post-mastectomy or breast cancer treatment
  • Breast tenderness & congestion
  • Fibromyalgia & Lupus
  • Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
  • Depression & Anxiety
  • Hormonal & emotional imbalances
  • Cellulite fat accumulation
  • Recurrent infections such as colds, flu, tonsillitis, sinus & yeast infections

Pregnancy massage at Sports & Spinal combines relaxation massage and deep tissue. Our massage therapists adapt their techniques to address changes a woman goes through during pregnancy.

Pregnancy massage helps you by targeting specific areas of the body that needs to be relaxed or allow more movement. As your body changes during this time, it is important to prepare the body and aid the changes instead of trying to fight them. Pregnancy is a joyful time in everyone’s lives, but it is also the most taxing on the body, so it makes sense to keep your body moving and at optimal health during this time. Pregnancy or prenatal massage is a type of massage therapy designed to decrease stress/anxiety, reduce swelling in the legs and arms, improve circulation and reduce musculoskeletal aches and pains.

During pregnancy, many women experience low back, pelvic and buttock pain due to hormonal changes and the additional load placed on their body due to their growing baby.

Women who undergo massage therapy during pregnancy consistently report decreased anxiety, stress, leg pain, lower back pain and improved sleep. Pregnancy massage has even proved to be effective during labour in managing pain and improving the emotional experience that labour can bring on.

The benefits include:

  • Preparation of muscles required in childbirth.
  • Neck and back pain relief is caused by muscle imbalance and imperfect posture.
  • Assist in maintaining proper posture.
  • Emotional support through nurturing touch.
  • Relaxation and decreased insomnia.
  • Lower levels of cramping, particularly in the calf muscles.
  • Reduced sciatic pain.

Tracy
★★★★★

After landing from a 16 hour flight my very bad back was absolutely shot. I found sports and spine online and saw they had a good rating so made an appointment.
I was very blessed to have Laura who in the space of 3 sessions had me standing straight and walking normal again. She’s fantastic at what she does and very knowledgeable and equally friendly. I would say one of the best therapists for my back I’ve ever had.
Thank you Laura, I can at least enjoy the last few days of my holiday. 🙏

Tanya Featherstone
★★★★★

Thank you so much to the team, very kind, encouraging and accommodating throughout my workers comp recovery. Reagan was gentle and caring, Lachie made exercise sessions easier as he is so happy and friendly and always ready with clever alternative approaches if there was something I couldn’t do yet.

Angie Rose
★★★★★
From the moment I walked into reception I was greeted with a smile and friendly attitude. As a medical receptionist myself I can say that the lady at the front desk was extremely kind and understanding. The appointment was with massage therapist Rene. We went over a few questions before beginning and then I went through 50 minutes of massage. Rene is fantastic at finding those knots and sore spots in your body that need loosening up and even though it was a rough session, I knew I was in good hands. I’ll be coming back in two weeks time for my next appointment. Long road ahead to fix this back/neck!

Amanda Haines
★★★★★

One of the absolute best deep tissue massages I have ever had!!. My hammy issue is well on its way to being resolved thanks to the expertise of Rene. If I lived in SE QLD I would visit here every week 🙂

Gabrielle Robson

I went into Sports and Spinal Morayfield yesterday morning barely able to walk or breathe due to a back injury. I had booked in for a remedial massage with Rene and it was the best choice I made. Rene listened to all my concerns and got straight to work. I had instant relief from Rene helping relax my muscles and come today, I am pretty much pain free! I couldn’t believe the amount of pain I was in yesterday morning and didn’t think it could’ve been such a quick turn around. Thanks again Rene! I’ll definitely be coming back.
