Andrew Duff

Lower Limb & Sport Injuries

Andrew Duff has been working with both a national level and international athletes since graduating in NZ with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2004 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Manipulative Physiotherapy in 2009.
Throughout this time he has worked with NZ Youth Olympic, Winter Olympic & Paralympic athletes, including being part of a successful gold medal Paralympic campaign in 2010, Sochi 2014, and most recently South Korea in 2018.
Andrew enjoys working with and supporting his patients to achieve their goals, applying his extensive knowledge and experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and injury prevention to fully rehabilitate your injuries and develop and strengthen performance in your selected area.

Bethany Butler

Hand Therapy

Bethany Butler is a physiotherapist with a special interest in the upper limb – shoulder, elbow, wrist & hand conditions. She is now completed her studies to become an Accredited Hand Therapist, which is a post-graduate specialization recognized by AHPRA.

She went on to start the “The Hand Therapy Clinic” within Sports & Spinal Physiotherapy at her clinic in Sippy Downs and has been training her colleagues and new graduate staff in optimal treatment of the shoulder, elbow, wrist & hand. Hand Therapists are best positioned to help people recover their hand and arm function after injury/trauma/surgery. Early in her career, Bethany developed an early love for exercise rehabilitation and still integrates Clinical Pilates and gym-based rehabilitation into her treatment of the upper extremity.

Bethany loves to see people take control of their health in a holistic manner, and values the multi-disciplinary team environment where she works. With an interest in lifestyle medicine both personally & professionally, she is passionate about people finding their best quality of life at all different stages. Through building long-term professional relationships with patients, doctors, specialists and other medical professionals; this allows her to achieve optimal results for her patients. In her downtime, Bethany loves to spend her spare time surfing, gardening & enjoying time in nature and spending quality time with her family & friends.

Alannah Grimm

Physiotherapist

Alannah completed her Master of Physiotherapy studies in Canberra before moving to Harvey Bay to work in private practice. Allannah has a background in sports and exercise science and has completed several professional development courses, including Pilates mat work and APA Sports Physiotherapy Level 1 and 2. Alannah is always open to further expand her knowledge and experience and will be looking to undertake more courses soon. Alannah has previously worked with rugby union and soccer teams in Canberra but also enjoys all things running and swimming.

Candice Lamb

Women’s Health

Candice graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and has been working with Sports and Spinal since 2014. Since graduation, Candice has undertaken further study in the field of Women’s Health and Continence and is this year beginning her Master’s Degree in this specialised area through Curtin University, WA. Candice enjoys treating women of all ages and is incredibly passionate about educating and empowering women to better understand and manage their conditions. She has experience treating a wide range of conditions including pelvic pain, prolapse, incontinence and constipation, as well as pre and postnatal conditions.

Candice also has a keen interest in strength and conditioning, functional movement and exercise based rehabilitation which stems from her background as a weightlifter and Crossfit coach.

Sam Fahey

General Physiotherapy

Sam completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with James Cook University before relocating to the Sunshine Coast. A passion for movement, performance, injury prevention and rehabilitation, he is a firm believer in a holistic approach to treatment. Sam has a unique view, having worked within the medical system, as a Crossfit Coach, as a Personal Trainer, and believes movement is medicine!

Sam’s interests include strength and conditioning, Crossfit, weightlifting, and general health and fitness. Having competed at a high level within his chosen sport of Crossfit, he knows the demands of training and competing well, having also dealt with various injuries himself.

Sam leads an active lifestyle and if not found within the gym he will be out on the beach, mountains, his motorbike, or travelling.

Ashlee Unie

General Physiotherapy

Ashlee graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of Queensland. Since then she has developed a keen interest in musculoskeletal and sporting injuries with a holistic attitude in regard to rehabilitation. She is passionate about seeing clients of all abilities achieve their short and long-term goals and improve their health and quality of life. Ashlee’s focus is on providing individualised, evidence-based approaches for her clients and ensuring that they receive the highest level of care.

Outside of physio, Ashlee is a member of the Sunshine Coast Lightning squad as a training partner and competes in the Australian Netball League. She is keen to translate her experience in the high-performance environment to help her clients achieve their goals in all areas.

Holly Ryan

General Physiotherapy

Holly is a new graduate physiotherapists joining the Sports & Spinal team, having graduated from James Cook University in Townsville in 2019. She has moved to the Sunshine Coast having spent her whole life in North Queensland, and is excited by all that the Coast has to offer.

Holly has always had a passion for all things relating to exercise, physical activity and well-being, with her favourite sport being hockey for which she made the Queensland team.

Given her personal experience with the devastation that ACL injuries can have on young sporting people, she is interested in running ACL injury prevention programs and younger athlete development programs in the future.

Holly will be available for bookings at both Caloundra and Sippy Downs clinics. She has a positive, encouraging and methodical approach to treatment. Holly can’t wait to work collaboratively with patients to achieve their individual rehabilitation goals, and to provide them with the tools and knowledge to assist them to return to the activities they love.

Jarrad Campbell

General Physiotherapy

Jarrad graduated from Australian Catholic University (ACU) in 2019. He has developed a keen interest in musculoskeletal and sporting injuries and always strives to get the best outcomes for his patients. He is always open to further expand his knowledge and expertise and will be looking to undertake further courses soon.

Having competed at an international level in sprint kayaking, he knows the importance of looking after your body and the demands of training and competing well to prevent injuries.

Outside of physio, Jarrad enjoys spending time at the beach, surfing, travelling, living an active outdoors lifestyle and hanging out with friends.

Gemma Egan

Exercise Physiologist

Gemma has a strong belief that living an active healthy lifestyle improves both longevity and quality of life. She has completed a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Science and has gained accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist (AEP).

Gemma has developed a passion for spinal rehabilitation and improving quality of life for those suffering from lower back pain. She has also worked with a wide range of conditions including but not limited to musculoskeletal injuries, obesity, diabetes, heart conditions and osteoarthritis.

Gemma has a strong focus on prescribing programs that are individually tailored and that can be self-managed for future health and fitness.

Annika is an enthusiastic Exercise Physiologist with a passion for Women’s Health. She supports all women by educating them to better understand and manage their condition and restores physical function through exercise. Annika also has a special interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. She is committed to delivering high-quality Exercise Physiology, prescribing the best rehabilitation plans based on her clients’ goals. Faith Cochrane

Exercise Physiologist

Faith is an Exercise Physiologist from Tasmania, graduating from the University of the Sunshine Coast, who now considers the Sunshine Coast home.
Faith is motivated to optimise the quality of life for all that come to see her, ensuring sessions and programs address personal goals, current ability and lifestyles.
She has a passion for Women’s Health and movement analysis, looking at how to you’re moving daily that has an impact on your musculoskeletal aches and pains.

During her time off Faith likes to mountain climb, mountain bike, play soccer and be down on the beach with her dog. Faith believes that motion is lotion so let’s get moving!

Emily Whitmore

Remedial Massage Therapist

Emily Whitmore graduated from Loughborough University in the United Kingdom in June 2012 achieving a first class honours degree in Sports and Exercise Science. She then went on to complete her Level 5 BTEC Professional Diploma in Clinical Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy at the London School of Sports Massage, qualifying in August 2013. She is also a qualified therapist in advanced Dry Needling.

Since qualifying Emily has worked as a Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist within Physiotherapy clinics in the United Kingdom. Her clinical experience also includes working with British Triathlon at their base in Loughborough; this has involved travelling overseas to training camps and European and World Triathlon events, helping to prevent injury and facilitate recovery from training and competition. Emily also worked as the primary masseuse for the Loughborough Students Elite Rugby Union Team who compete in National League 1.

Beth White

Remedial Massage Therapist

Beth has worked as a Remedial Massage Therapist for 10 years. She has a Diploma of Remedial Massage from Nature Care College.

Coming from Sydney, Beth worked with several chiropractic clinics supporting their clients and therapists. She is a past world champion para triathlete and has extensive experience managing high performing athletes and helping them to accelerate recovery between events.

Beth has additional training in deep tissue, trigger point therapy,  pregnancy, relaxation, and sports therapy massage modalities. Beth has managed clients recovering from spinal surgery, sports injuries, stroke and workplace rehabilitation.

Beth is a blind therapist and is supported by her guide dog Queenie. Beth has also worked with Guide Dogs in their community outreach programs, fundraising activities and as a public speaker.

Sally Livock

Dietitian

Sally is a senior Accredited Practising Dietitian with over 30 years’ experience as a Clinical Dietitian having worked in both the Public and Private sectors

She has extensive clinical experience having held the position as consultant dietitian at Noosa, Selangor and Sunshine Coast Private Hospitals and is currently consultant dietitian at The Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital.

Sally has extensive experience in private practice having built a large private practice on the Sunshine Coast over the past 25 years. She has developed specialist skills in the management of Eating Disorders-working closely with CYHMS, EDOS and specialist teams, and Bariatrics –having worked as the dietitian in a large Bariatric practice for the past 15 years. Sally has also developed a client-centered counseling approach to the management of weight loss, diabetes, and chronic disease.

She has a passion for education and mentoring and her current role as Manager of the Teaching Clinic at the University of the Sunshine Coast where she provides teaching and supervision to final year dietetic students enables this to be realised.

Sally’s philosophy is empowering clients via education, coaching, and support to achieve their health goals.

Ricki-lee Driver

Dietitian

Ricki-lee is passionate about supporting and empowering clients to achieve their health-related goals. Since graduating with an Honours in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of the Sunshine Coast, Ricki-lee has obtained experience across a variety of sectors including private hospitals, aged care facilities, private practice, and specialist teams. Ricki-lee applies a patient-centred approach to enable clients to overcome health barriers and facilitate diet and lifestyle independence.  Ricki-lee has special interests in adult and childhood obesity, bariatrics and disability.

Outside of work, Ricki-lee enjoys rock climbing, spending time with family and friends and experimenting in the kitchen.

Tim Boyle

Podiatrist

Tim graduated from the Queensland University of Technology as a Podiatrist in 2006. He has gained valuable experience over the last eight years working in a multidisciplinary sports medicine clinic. Within this setting, Tim had the pleasure of working alongside medical & allied health professionals including Sports Doctors, Physiotherapists, and Massage Therapists.

Tim enjoys a broad scope of podiatry including sports injuries of the lower limb, biomechanical assessments, gait analysis, orthotic therapy, footwear assessments and recommendations, diabetic foot assessments and treatment of conditions of the toenails and skin.  Tim is particularly passionate about running biomechanics and footwear advice/prescription, a special interest that commenced through his strong interest in athletics and involvement in the footwear industry.

Over the years Tim has treated a number of senior and junior athletes from a range of different sports, including 2 years treating both the Brisbane Roar and Brisbane Roar youth teams.

Tim is a sports enthusiast himself having been involved in a number of sports from a young age competing at a state level in Athletics and Basketball.

Ainslee O'Connell

Podiatrist

Ainslee graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine (Honours) and has been working in private practice since.

Ainslee completed her honours research in the biomechanical field, with her paper ‘The effect of dynamic movement tasks on the restrictive properties of rigid strapping tape’, being presented at the 2019 Australian Podiatry Conference. With a passion for all things lower limb, Ainslee has a special interest in musculoskeletal conditions, biomechanics, injury prevention and footwear prescription/advice. Outside of Podiatry Ainslee is a keen netballer and enjoys all things sport related.

Podiatrist

Blake graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatry from the University of Newcastle. He has always held a deep interest in health, fitness and the human body leading him towards his chosen profession of podiatry. Blake enjoys all aspects of podiatric care but holds a special interest in sports and biomechanical podiatry (including paediatric patients). The most important thing for Blake is helping his patients achieve their goals.
