Sports & Spinal Maroochydore is situated at suite 6.08, level 6 in the new Maroochydore Private Hospital. The practice is conveniently located near Alexandra Headland, Mooloolaba and Cotton Tree.
Accredited Exercise Physiologists are allied health professionals providing exercise and lifestyle therapies to prevent and manage chronic disease, injury, and disability.
An Exercise Physiologist (EP) is a 4 year, University-trained Allied Health professional who is an exercise prescription expert. They will work with you to design a specific exercise program tailored to your injuries, health status and goals.
Our Exercise Physiologists at Sports & Spinal can help your condition by working with you to formulate an appropriate treatment plan to assist in reaching your specific goals. Exercise Physiologists use movement and exercise in conjunction with specific education and motivational guidance to treat and manage your conditions. Exercise physiology at Maroochydore often supports the transition from hands-on treatment into independent movement, particularly for those rebuilding capacity after injury, surgery or periods of reduced activity.
Sports & Spinal’s accredited Exercise Physiologist can assist with Diabetes & Obesity, General Health & Wellbeing, Mental Health Issues, Musculoskeletal Injuries, Neurological Conditions, Strength & Conditioning, Women’s Health, Aging, Chronic Pain, Fatigue, Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, Paediatrics and Cancer.
Programs are progressed with real-world demands in mind, ensuring improvements translate into everyday movement and work capacity.
You can expect our Exercise Physiologist to listen to your personal story and ask questions, so they can work with you to guide an appropriate treatment plan. Our Exercise Physiologist will complete a detailed, goal-focused, clinical, and functional assessment.
Treatment will vary and be specific to you but will likely involve modified movement and exercises to build your capacity and function through strength, fitness, balance, and more. Treatment will change and progress while working alongside your Exercise Physiologist. Our Exercise physiologists will provide education on health, conditions, injuries and what to do and what not to do may take place in different environments, including our onsite gym, your regular gym and pools, depending on your interests and goals. Our Exercise Physiologist believes in a multi-disciplinary approach and will work with other health professionals to help manage your condition.
Sports & Spinal Maroochydore is NDIS registered and accepts Medicare rebates and HICAPS health fund claims. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are also available for payment.

What Maroochydore Patients Say
Ricki-Lee my Dietician. Carly a Physiotherapist helped get me stronger and swimming in a straight line : ) great that whilst I was seeing a physio of S&S for an injury I was able to do Pilates with a very knowledgeable physio or Exercise Physiologist who could report back to my Physio. Also very knowledgeable massage therapists
I have just finished seeing Suhail after injuring my back at work, Not only has he got my back sorted and 100% he has helped me with getting ready for my Triathlon coming up in March. Highly recommended.
Great team of knowledgeable therapists. You are in good hands with this clinic. They are all very caring. I had a massage with Jarred to help settle my migraines. I highly recommend them 👌
I am writing to express my sincere appreciation to Suhail, Physiotherapist, for the person centred and holistic care plan for return to work.

That`s a wrap on another successful Better Outcomes Conference, proudly hosted in collaboration with @travis_schultz_partners!
Welcome in. 💚
Our team had an wonderful time at the @physioaustralia Career Connect event on Saturday! 🥳
It`s Tradies National Health Month, an initiative by @physioaustralia (APA) highlighting the physical and mental demands faced by Australia`s tradies.
One week to go! 🎉
We couldn`t have said it better than @sportsandspinalstrathpine 😂
It takes an incredible team to bring Better Outcomes Conference to life, and we couldn`t do it without our amazing sponsors!
It’s hard to believe we’re almost eight months into the year!
This weekend, we brought together people from across healthcare, allied health and personal injury for a day of learning, connection and collaboration, all with one shared goal: better outcomes for the people we support.
We were especially proud to bring together Katie Lyndon, CEO of Exercise & Sports Science Australia, and Rob LoPresti, CEO of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, for the first time. It was a fantastic opportunity for them to connect with our physiotherapy and exercise physiology teams, as well as the wider Sports & Spinal Group, and share ideas about the future of our professions.
A huge thank you to our incredible experts, panellists and presenters for sharing their knowledge, and to our generous sponsors, VALD, ASICS, EMS DolorClast Oceania, Alpha Sport and Bared Footwear, for helping make the day such a success.
We’re already looking forward to Better Outcomes 2027. Until then, we can’t wait to see the ideas, connections and knowledge from this year continue to make a difference.
#BetterOutcomes2026 #MultidisciplinaryCare #AlliedHealth
From a first appointment to a familiar routine, we love being part of your health journey.
We had the opportunity to connect with the future generation of physiotherapists, discuss private practice and community (@team_rehab_solutions ) pathways, showcase some of our VALD equipment and book in multiple interviews!
If you’re interested in working with Sports & Spinal Group, our team are now accepting EOl’s for 2027 New Grad positions. Link in bio!
We can’t wait for next year’s event!
The latest APA survey paints a concerning picture:
🔨 90% of tradies experienced work-related injuries or pain in the past year
🔨 76% said pain significantly impacts their quality of life
🔨 42% described their pain as severe
🔨 24% worry they`ll need to retire early because of the toll their work takes on their bodies
Whether you`re on the tools every day or managing the demands of a physically demanding job, looking after your body matters.
Our multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, podiatrists, occupational therapists, psychologists, dietitians, massage therapists and more, can work with you to assess injuries, manage pain, support recovery and help you stay healthy for the long haul.
A big thank you to the Australian Physiotherapy Association for continuing to shine a light on the health and wellbeing of Australia`s tradies through Tradies National Health Month.

Every Google review is a reminder of the impact our clinicians have each day, and we`re incredibly grateful to everyone who takes the time to share their experience!
Thank you for your support. If you`ve visited one of our clinics, the team would love to see your experience on their Google pages! 🙏
A huge thank you to these fantastic organisations for jumping on board and helping make the Better Outcomes Conference 2026 possible. We`re so excited to have you with us for a day of learning, collaboration and connection.
See you in two weeks!
To our 2026 New Grad cohort, we couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved.
Over the past few months, we’ve watched you grow in confidence, embrace every learning opportunity and build meaningful relationships with your patients. Seeing your appointment books fill, hearing the positive feedback from patients and colleagues, and watching you settle into your teams has been incredibly rewarding.
Recently, we also came together for our Mid-Year Refresher Training, taking time to reflect, reconnect and continue building on everything you`ve learned so far. Supporting our New Grads doesn`t stop after orientation, it`s something we`re committed to throughout the year and beyond.
You`re doing an incredible job, and we can`t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store.
