Laura graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia, and since then has been working in rehabilitation centres, as well as private practice. Laura has developed a passion for low back and spinal rehabilitation and working closely with GPs and specialists. Laura believes in a holistic approach to injury and management by addressing issues at a functional and impairment level to help her patients achieve their goals and to get them back to optimal functioning and performance.
Laura has postgraduate training in low back and pelvic injuries, as well as clinical Pilates and spinal rehabilitation, and regularly attends further training to ensure that her clinical skills and knowledge are kept up-to-date. Briony has been with Sports and Spinal since 1998. She has a wealth of experience in all areas of physiotherapy but for over a decade has focussed particularly on the treatment and management of head, neck and jaw pain, as well as dizziness and vestibular dysfunction.
Briony has achieved Competency level Vestibular training and has been a Watson Headache practitioner for over 15 years. Watson techniques for headaches are internationally recognised and renowned and can be a breakthrough in the management of chronic headache and migraine.

Shoulder Pain Rehabilitation
Simon Burley has developed expertise in shoulder conditions over many years of postgraduate training. He has completed level III Sports Physiotherapy at the Australian Institute of Sport. Simon also runs the Sunshine Coast Shoulder Clinic with some of the Coast’s leading orthopaedic surgeons.
Simon also sets up exercise programs for weight loss and fitness/strength training. He works closely with the Coast’s leading medical team for patients undergoing lapband surgery.
Simon was the physio for the New Zealand Track and Field athletes as they prepared for the Sydney 2000 Olympics and is the physio for a number of well-known athletes on the Sunshine Coast.

Candice graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy, and has been working with Sports and Spinal since 2014. Since graduation, Candice has undertaken further study in the field of Women’s Health and Continence, and is this year beginning her Masters Degree in this specialised area through Curtin University, WA. Candice enjoys treating women of all ages, and is incredibly passionate about educating and empowering women to better understand and manage their conditions. She has experience treating a wide range of conditions including pelvic pain, prolapse, incontinence and constipation, as well as pre and post natal conditions.
Candice also has a keen interest in strength and conditioning, functional movement and exercise based rehabilitation which stems from her background as a weightlifter and Crossfit coach.

Emily Whitmore graduated from Loughborough University in the United Kingdom in June 2012 achieving a first class honors degree in Sports and Exercise Science. She then went on to complete her Level 5 BTEC Professional Diploma in Clinical Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy at the London School of Sports Massage, qualifying in August 2013. She is also a qualified therapist in advanced Dry Needling.
Since qualifying Emily has worked as a Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist within Physiotherapy clinics in the United Kingdom. Her clinical experience also includes working with British Triathlon at their base in Loughborough; this has involved traveling overseas to training camps and European and World Triathlon events, helping to prevent injury and facilitate recovery from training and competition. Emily also worked as the primary masseuse for the Loughborough Students Elite Rugby Union Team who compete in National League 1.

Tim graduated from the Queensland University of Technology as a Podiatrist in 2006. He has gained valuable experience over the last eight years working in a multidisciplinary sports medicine clinic. Within this setting, Tim had the pleasure of working alongside medical & allied health professionals including Sports Doctors, Physiotherapists, and Massage Therapists.
Tim enjoys a broad scope of podiatry including sports injuries of the lower limb, biomechanical assessments, gait analysis, orthotic therapy, footwear assessments and recommendations, diabetic foot assessments and treatment of conditions of the toenails and skin. Tim is particularly passionate about running biomechanics and footwear advice/prescription, a special interest that commenced through his strong interest in athletics and involvement in the footwear industry.
Over the years Tim has treated a number of senior and junior athletes from a range of different sports, including 2 years treating both the Brisbane Roar and Brisbane Roar youth teams.
Tim is a sports enthusiast himself having been involved in a number of sports from a young age competing at a state level in Athletics and Basketball.

Chelsea is passionate about empowering clients to transform their health and prevent chronic disease. Having graduated with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of the Sunshine Coast, Chelsea has experience in a wide range of nutrition areas such as weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, irritable bowel syndrome, malnutrition and sports nutrition.
From a young age, Chelsea has been involved in many sports from touch football to volleyball. More recently she enjoys engaging in outdoor activities to keep fit. Outside of work, Chelsea can be found in her kitchen, at the beach or running up one of the Glass House Mountains.
