Louise Meek

Shoulder & Spinal Rehab

Louise has spent most of her career focusing on treating shoulder conditions working with both the Wynnum Manly Seagulls and high diving.  Louise continued to work with the shoulder team on the sunshine coast after moving to join the Sports and Spinal Team in 2010.  She was an Australian Institute of Sport athlete for 6 years in high diving and was a representative on the Australian team for 5 years, which is where her passion for physiotherapy originated.

Louise has been selected from thousands of the physiotherapists in Australia to be included in the Shoulder and Elbow Physiotherapist group (SEPA) This is a selected group of elite Shoulder & Elbow physiotherapists.

Over the last few years, Louise has loved working with the ‘Sunshine Coast Chronic Pain Team’ assisting people with persistent pain.  “This is defiantly an area I love working in and get a lot of fulfilment.  You can make a truly significant difference in someone’s daily life.”  She spends time working with the pain specialists on the coast who meet regularly to have the most optimal care and management of her patients.

She focused her post-graduate studies in these areas making sure all treatment and advice are up to date and evidence-based to provide the most optimal outcome for the client. Louise is very passionate about an educational, active and functional approach to treatment to allow the individual to learn and manage their injury to prevent a recurrence. “I feel this gives people the tools to be the driver of their recovery”.

Meredith Hill

Lower Limb Rehab

Meredith has extensive experience as a Sports Physiotherapist and Pilates instructor but has focused her practice in recent years on lower limb injuries. Meredith has a special interest in endurance sports, triathlon, and running-related injuries as a professional triathlete herself. Meredith completes running assessments in the clinic using video analysis to diagnose and manage chronic running injuries. Meredith also has years of experience in post-operative rehab and compliments her treatments with dry needling, Kinesio taping, and gym-based functional strength training.

Koren West

Low Back & Spinal Rehab

Koren graduated from Bond University in 2009 with a Doctor of Physiotherapy.  During that time, she worked closely with Tennis Australia in Brisbane and the junior elite tennis players in the prevention of lower back and spine injuries.

Since graduating Koren has been focusing on spinal rehabilitation and in particular, acute and chronic lower back pain and has continued her education along this path.  Koren has a particular interest in managing patients with a holistic approach to their active rehabilitation using a multidisciplinary team. Koren is passionate about ensuring that every patient she sees is provided with education and a plan regarding their specific condition to assure their goals are met, leading to a greater recovery.

Koren also runs weekly group classes incorporating Pilates type exercises along with functional/physiotherapy exercises for core strength and stability which fits in perfectly with her lower back interest.

Other area’s Koren enjoys working with is chronic complex musculoskeletal pain conditions and neurological conditions. In Koren’s spare time she enjoys kickboxing, the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Madison Simmons

Physiotherapist

Madison graduated from UQ Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours in 2017 and has thoroughly enjoyed working as a private practice physiotherapist since. With his experience working in a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals, Madison thrives on working with the Sports and Spinal team to work toward the individual goals of his patients.
Madison has extensive experience in helping people overcome chronic pain obstacles on their way to improving their quality of life and is a firm believer that with the right approach, anything is possible when you put your mind to it. As a result, treating chronic pain and injuries that won’t go away is Madison’s particular interest.
Madison has also developed a strong passion for treating sporting injuries after competing as an elite tennis player in Australia. Outside of the clinic, he has a passion for road cycling, hiking, and after relocating to the Sunshine Coast, surfing will be next on the list.
Overall, Madison utilises a holistic approach of hands-on therapy, dry needling, individual exercise programs and education to work with patients to achieve their personal goals.

Zoe Divall

Neck Physiotherapist

Zoe is a new graduate physiotherapist joining the Sports & Spinal team. Zoe studied at Griffith University and has graduated with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Masters of Physiotherapy.

Zoe studied physiotherapy to follow her passion for improving peoples lives through effective treatment modalities as well as creating great client relationships.

Zoe has always lived a very active lifestyle; being heavily involved with the local Surf Life Saving Club, enjoys yoga, touch football and tennis. Zoe’s interest in a healthy lifestyle and general well-being will provide clients with a holistic treatment approach.

Zoe creates treatment plans that aim to have you back to doing the things you love in a way that is realistic and has your goals at the core. Given her love for people and bubbly personality, she will be running classes as well as taking private appointments.

Sam Cobourn

General Physiotherapist

Sam is a graduate physiotherapist joining the Sports & Spinal team. Sam grew up in the beautiful town of Port Macquarie where he studied at Charles Sturt University. After graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Distinction, Sam made the move up to the Sunshine Coast where he now calls home.

Sam believes that everyone deserves to live a prosperous, healthy lifestyle where they are able to move well and pain free whilst participating in activities that are meaningful to the individual. This starts with a thorough assessment, closely followed by a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses not only the symptoms but the root cause of the problem to ensure long lasting results.

Outside of physio, Sam has an extensive martial arts background where he has instructed and competed at an international level representing Australia in both Russia and China. He enjoys an active lifestyle, loves the outdoors and won’t say no to a good time.

Lauren, born in New Zealand and raised on the Sunshine Coast graduated from Central Queensland University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours). Prior to Physiotherapy, Lauren worked as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer for several years.  Lauren is passionate about physical activity and empowering people to recover through optimal movement.  Lauren thoroughly enjoys working with and supporting patients to achieve their goals.

Lauren is particularly interested in all aspects of women’s health and hopes to pursue further training within this field.

Outside of work Lauren enjoys spending time with her family, Crossfit and relaxing at the beach with a good book.

Rod Carroll

Remedial Massage Therapist

Rod has been in the industry extensively and brings with him experience in sports, remedial and trigger point therapy. Rod is also experienced in reflexology and pregnancy massage.

Rod believes in the systematic assessment and treatment of muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues of the body to assist in rehabilitation, pain and injury management caused through sports and work-related injuries, post-surgery rehabilitation and general soreness from a wide variety of activities and postures.

Before any treatment begins, Rod carries out a thorough client consultation and assessment.
Rod listens to clients and works on the areas that require attention, applying the relevant and appropriate treatment to create favourable conditions for the body to return to normal health.

In his spare time, Rod enjoys surfing, swimming, running, and AFL Umpiring.

Having had professional coaching in triathlons (all disciplines) Rod has a good understanding of the sports-related issues and injuries that can occur and can assist to analyze and offer remediation.

Brad Jobson

Exercise Physiologist

Brad has extensive experience in chronic disease management, including cardiac rehabilitation, diabetes management and specific exercise prescription for Osteoporosis. He also specialises in Musculoskeletal conditions, including back pain and upper and lower limb pain. Assessments and exercise rehab are conducted in the clinic’s own gym, which is purpose-built for rehabilitation. Brad’s hobbies include surfing and running.

Tarin Cowley

Exercise Physiologist

Tarin has been practising as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist since 2013 and recently relocated to the Sunshine Coast from Sydney. Tarin finds great reward in providing exercise interventions and education that assist people with chronic conditions to lead a better life, whether it be by improving their confidence and daily functioning, pain management, feeling ‘fitter’ or for athletes, competing at their optimum capacity. Tarin has experience in a range of clinical settings, which allows her to constantly challenge herself to develop innovative exercises and lifestyle modification interventions for people seeking advice to manage their conditions.
Tarin has also recently taken up studying again, this time in medicine.

Shannon Chilman

Exercise Physiologist

Shannon is an exercise physiologist with a special interest in women’s health and adolescent athletics. Originally from the USA, she has completed her Bachelor’s in Athletic Training and Master’s in Exercise and Sports Medicine where she spent 2 years working with collegiate sports rehabilitation. Most recently, she has received her Master’s in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Australian Catholic University in Brisbane.

Shannon has cultivated a holistic approach to helping others achieve their goals. She understands enjoying a healthy lifestyle means you have to acknowledge the whole person: body, mind and spirit. She also believes exercise should not be boring and strives to make each session fun and engaging.

Shannon has been on the Sunshine Coast for the last 6 years and enjoys spending her time cooking as well as hiking the local trails.

Tim Boyle

Running, Sports & Exercise Podiatrist

Tim graduated from the Queensland University of Technology as a Podiatrist in 2006. He has gained valuable experience over the last eight years working in a multidisciplinary sports medicine clinic. Within this setting, Tim had the pleasure of working alongside medical & allied health professionals, including Sports Doctors, Physiotherapists, and Massage Therapists.

Tim enjoys a broad scope of podiatry, including sports injuries of the lower limb, biomechanical assessments, gait analysis, orthotic therapy, footwear assessments and recommendations, diabetic foot assessments, and treatment of toenails and skin conditions.  Tim is particularly passionate about running biomechanics and footwear advice/prescription, a special interest that commenced through his strong interest in athletics and involvement in the footwear industry.

Over the years, Tim has treated several senior and junior athletes from various sports, including 2 years treating both the Brisbane Roar and Brisbane Roar youth teams.

Tim is a sports enthusiast himself, having been involved in several sports from a young age competing at a state level in Athletics and Basketball.

Kim Goei

Podiatrist

Kim was born and raised on the West coast, completing her Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine at the University of Western Australia. She has a kind, gentle manner with patients, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality care.

During her training, Kim gained valuable experience in Singapore working alongside podiatrists from other countries including the UK, South Africa and New Zealand.

After completing her degree, Kim has worked in private practice in WA and Victoria before being drawn to the beautiful coastline and hinterland of the Sunshine Coast.

Kim has completed advanced musculoskeletal training with Dr Paul Conneely in the areas of Dry Needling & Foot Mobilisations to aid in the management of lower limb dysfunction.

She has also completed courses in THOR Low-Level Laser Therapy and Chattanooga Shockwave Therapy.

Kim is proficient in delivering all aspects of podiatry care including General Care, Nail Surgery, Sports Injuries and Diabetic Management.

Outside the clinic, Kim enjoys hiking, mountain biking, running & yoga.

Gabriel Bogatko

General Care, Sports & Exercise Podiatrist

Gabi is experienced in all facets of Podiatry, including musculoskeletal conditions of the feet and legs, video gait analysis, biomechanical assessment, paediatric foot/leg assessment, lower limb acupuncture/ dry needling and orthotic therapy. In addition to Bachelors of Podiatry, Gabi also holds a Diploma in Football Medicine through the FIFA Medical Network, which has created an excellent platform to connect with world-leading experts internationally.

Gabi has a good knack for building relationships with paediatric patients having great outcomes treating rheumatological, musculoskeletal, inflammatory disorders and juvenile arthritis.
With extensive knowledge working with the top running shoe brands and passionate about shoe technology and advances in footwear, Gabi is well across finding the fit for your foot.

Gabi has a strong interest in sport-related and is interested in incorporating this into her professional career. She enjoys meeting new athletes and helping them to be active participants in their own health and well-being. Dietitian

Ricki-lee is passionate about supporting and empowering clients to achieve their health-related goals. Since graduating with an Honours in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of the Sunshine Coast, Ricki-lee has obtained experience across a variety of sectors including private hospitals, aged care facilities, private practice, and specialist teams. Ricki-lee applies a patient-centred approach to enable clients to overcome health barriers and facilitate diet and lifestyle independence.  Ricki-lee has special interests in adult and childhood obesity, bariatrics and disability.

Outside of work, Ricki-lee enjoys rock climbing, spending time with family and friends and experimenting in the kitchen.

Domonique Doyle

Psychologist

Domonique is a performance psychologist who has received a Master of Psychology (Sport and Exercise) from Queensland. Domonique has diverse experience working in mental health, including mental health case management, performance psychologist at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and several sports academies, spinal cord injury, NDIS, work cover, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and general psychological counselling and services.

Domonique is passionate about helping clients improve their quality of life and achieve goals in a safe and heard environment through face-to-face, telehealth, and/or video platform.

Without restricting to any presenting issue, Domonique welcomes all enquiries for therapy with a special interest in depression and anxiety, athlete wellbeing, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) support, work cover (including pain and injury support) substance use, LBTIQ+, and general counselling.
