Cielo Kelley

Musculoskeletal & Lower Limb

Cielo (pronounced “Shell-o”) graduated from the Australian Catholic University with first class honours. Her research focused on how people cope after rupturing their anterior cruciate ligament – a major stabilising ligament in the knee. Cielo is passionate about providing high-quality treatment by keeping up to date with the latest research and applying the evidence-based practice. In 2017, Cielo was invited to present her thesis at the national Australian Physiotherapy Association Conference in Sydney held at the International Convention Centre. Her research is currently submitted for publication as the leading author.

She has since undertaken multiple professional development courses to continue broadening her knowledge on treating sports-related injuries more specifically to the knee. Cielo has a keen interest in treating dance- and sports-related injuries having undertaken eight years of classical ballet training under the Royal Academy of Dance. Cielo is passionate about using a holistic approach to help people get back on their feet and achieve their goals whether it is to improve daily function, return to recreational or competitive sports and or optimise general health and well-being.

Damien Howell

General Physiotherapy

Damien completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Australian Catholic University with High Distinctions in all his Clinical Placements. Damien had a successful career in the Queensland Police Service as a Constable, however, his true passion is within Physiotherapy where he can help his patients overcome injuries and achieve their goals.

Damien has extensive experience as a Sports Trainer, where he provided treatment to high-level football teams in the NPL and QPL competitions as well as for QLD during National Competition Tours.

With a background in Rugby League, Track Cycling and Ironman, Damien has developed a keen interest in providing care for all musculoskeletal and sporting injuries, post-surgery rehab and helping patients maximise their functional ability in everyday life. Damien incorporates a holistic approach in his treatments, combining client-specific strategies, strengthening and hands-on techniques to gain the best results for his patients.

Laura Howden

General Physiotherapy

Originally from Canada, Laura travelled to Australia to complete her Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney. With an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, the study of human movement, Laura has a thorough understanding of how the human body functions.

Laura has worked in private practice for several years and is experienced in treating a wide range of acute and chronic injuries.  She has a strong interest in injury rehabilitation and is passionate about helping her patients achieve their goals. She is committed to providing a high level of care using evidence-based practise and offers a well-rounded treatment approach through the combination of hands-on therapy and exercise prescription. She is an experienced Clinical Pilates instructor and is able to use Pilates as an adjunct treatment to help manage and prevent injury, enhance mobility and athletic performance, and promote the maintenance of activity and health.

Laura’s areas of special interest include orthopaedics, sports injuries, and workplace rehabilitation. When not treating, Laura enjoys photography, hiking, camping, and exploring the outdoors.

Kristi Hood

Remedial Massage Therapist

Kristi graduated with a Diploma of Remedial Massage through Q Academy on the Sunshine Coast in 2017. She has an interest in treating and assisting with neck and back concerns and utilises her remedial, deep tissue and trigger point therapy knowledge to do so. Kristi’s decision and desire to become a Remedial Massage Therapist was born through her desire to make a difference and help people.

Georgia White

Exercise Physiologist

Georgia graduated with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Distinction) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Although Georgia is passionate in all fields of exercise physiology, she has a special interest for neurological and oncology conditions, especially in the paediatric age bracket. She finds it immensely rewarding to help people manage their overall health, see her clients achieve their goals and ultimately reach a stage of independence.

Outside of the clinic, Georgia loves to have a boogie at her favourite bands’ concerts, socialise with her family and friends, play the piano, keep fit and healthy at the gym and most importantly Netflix and chill.

Dylan McDonald

Podiatrist

Dylan graduated from Queensland University of Technology as a Podiatrist, following earlier studies in Exercise and Nutrition Science (Hons.) at the University of Queensland. He continually expands on his knowledge and skills to keep up-to-date with the developing science behind lower limb conditions and injuries.

Whilst Dylan has a special interest in sports and biomechanical podiatry (including paediatric patients), he has experience treating all aspects of general lower limb and foot care. Dylan utilises biomechanical assessments, gait/movement analysis, orthotic therapy, footwear assessment and recommendations, dry needling and general/diabetic screenings to get the best outcomes for his clients. He has a unique skillset in foot mobilisation and manipulation which has formed part of his continuing clinical expertise.

Dylan has been involved in numerous sports as a junior athlete, particularly in AFL where he has previously held roles as a strength and conditioning coach and sports trainer (current) with the Queensland Junior Talent programs. In his spare time, Dylan enjoys travelling, live music and working on his handicap out on the golf course.

Chelsea McCallum

Dietitian

Chelsea studied a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of the Sunshine Coast. Since graduating, Chelsea has gained experience in recipe development, aged care, corporate wellness, disability and one-on-one consults. She has further developed her knowledge in irritable bowel syndrome, the gut microbiome, and gut health attending several workshops and courses within Australia and internationally in the UK. Chelsea also welcomes clients wanting to achieve weight loss, those with dyslipidemia and other chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

All patients are welcomed including GP referred, NDIS, DVA, Work Cover and privately paying. Chelsea is available for Dietitian appointments online as well as at our Chermside, Woolloongabba, Springfield and North Lakes locations.
