Chalita Sirivalaikorn

Remedial Massage Therapist

With nearly 20 years of experience as a Remedial Massage Therapist, Chalita has honed her expertise in both Australia and Thailand, including running her own successful massage business. A graduate of the prestigious Wat Po Traditional Medical School, Chalita specializes in traditional Thai massage therapies (โ€œNuad Thaiโ€) and has earned certification as a Nuad Thai Specialist Instructor.

Chalita is passionate about helping people unwind and recover, particularly those seeking relief from tension, stress, and chronic muscle discomfort. Her skill set includes pregnancy massage, hot stone therapy, dry needling, aromatherapy, and cupping, allowing her to customize every treatment to suit individual needs.

Known for her intuitive approach and ability to create a deeply relaxing experience, Chalita loves integrating her knowledge of ancient techniques with modern remedial practices to support her clientsโ€™ overall wellbeing.

Outside of work, Chalita enjoys exploring new recipes, spending time with her family, and staying connected to her Thai heritage through cultural events and practices.

Preeti Kutty

Shoulder, Hip and Knee Physiotherapist

Preeti graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours). Her passion lies in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and working with people in persistent pain.

Preeti has previously collaborated with local AFL and netball teams, where she witnessed first hand the transformative impact a tailored treatment and recovery plan can have on the rehabilitation of young athletes. This exposure has enriched her understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of sports-related injuries and has motivated her to seek mentorship from leading sports physiotherapists to gain a better understanding on how to best manage athletes.

Preeti is committed to fostering a collaborative approach to rehabilitation. Her goal is to empower clients to take an active role in their recovery, creating a sense of ownership and motivation that enhances the effectiveness of the treatment process.

In her free time you can find Preeti on a jog or a riverside walk with a pastry in hand.

Dziila Mao

Physiotherapist - General

Dziila grew up in Mumbai, India. She recently graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours). She gained valuable experience working as a sports trainer for the North Brisbane football club. This allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the unique demands of working with athletes, providing injury management and prevention.

Dziila discovered her passion for physiotherapy at the age of fourteen. Her experience as a dedicated sprinter who received extensive help from physiotherapists. Having first-hand experience of dealing with injuries, she is committed to understanding and prioritising each patientโ€™s unique goals.

She is passionate about providing patient-centered care with a hands-on and exercise-based treatment approach to not only alleviate pain but also improve functionality. With Dziila as your physiotherapist, you can expect a holistic approach to rehabilitation, tailored to your specific needs and aspirations.

Dziila enjoys long-distance running, often taking in the scenic views along the Brisbane River. She also has a passion for yoga and reading. She spends most of her weekends at the beach, surfing and relaxing.

Daniel Holmes

Senior Podiatrist

An avid endurance sports fan, Dan has been passionately treating patients of all ages and abilities in the Brisbane region for the past 15 years. Dan Holmes graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatry from Queensland University of Technology in 2007. Prior to Podiatry, he completed a Bachelor of Human Movement Studies majoring in Exercise Science at the University of Queensland.

He is very passionate about helping people to live their most active lives. Treating lower limb injuries is key to this. Dan has a special interest in bone stress and tendon injuries. He also has extensive experience prescribing custom orthotics recommending footwear and prescribing rehabilitative exercise plans to allow patients to return to sports and exercise.

Danโ€™s interest in foot health extends to general foot care, nail surgery and assessment of paediatric concerns.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys challenging himself mentally and physically by training and participating in Triathlons, Ultra distance trail running and adventure racing. Time in nature is important to Dan as he is passionate about the conservation of our natural world. He enjoys bushwalking and hopes to spend more time with his wife and two young girls exploring The World’s natural wonders.

Dan is Brisbane-born and bred and currently lives on the North side with his wife and two daughters. He has a mild coffee addiction, so you may catch him getting his caffeine fix around the many local cafes.

Ashleigh Graves

Shoulder, Hip, Knee and Ankle Physiotherapist

Ashleigh is an experienced physiotherapist working in elite sport and private practice musculoskeletal care. A 2018 University of Queensland graduate, Ashleigh achieved her Bachelor of Physiotherapy Qualification with First Class Honours.ย Ashleigh started her sports physiotherapy career firstly in AFL and more recently has worked across club, state and national level Rugby Union. Ashleigh is the current Reds Academy Physiotherapist.

Ashleigh enjoys consulting with everyday people and athletes of all abilities and backgrounds. With her background in rugby, Ash has developed expertise in the rehabilitation ofย shoulder injuries,ย bone stress injuriesย andย lower limb injuries.ย She prides herself on making sure you receive a diagnosis for your condition, receive a tailored treatment plan and finish your care under her guidance with the lowest chance of re-injury or recurrence.

She enjoys working collaboratively as part of a medical team to get the best outcomes possible and has had the pleasure of working alongside many of Brisbaneโ€™s Sports Doctors and orthopedic specialists.

Her interests have led her to gain further qualifications in Strength and Conditioning, Dry Needling/Western Acupuncture and Clinical Pilates. Ash has completed additional post-graduate coursework in the management of ACL and PCL injuries, Hamstring injuries, Hip and Groin Pain and rehabilitation post Shoulder stabilisation surgery. She is constantly upskilling herself to stay knowledgeable andย provide the best evidence-basedย care to her patients.

On the weekends you will find Ash on the sidelines of Easts Rugby Union games, or on her Sunday morning long run.

Tallara Lebeter

Remedial Massage Therapist

With over ten years of experience as a Remedial Massage Therapist, including five years working alongside some of the world’s leading therapists and clinicians in central London, Tallaraโ€™s down-to-earth nature and reputation for giving consistently thorough massages has helped a diverse range of people. Since working at Sports and Spinal, Tallara has continued to expand her knowledge of human anatomy, chronic conditions and pain management, and loves being part of a multidisciplinary team.

Tallara is passionate about treating people with headaches, complex shoulder issues and nagging hip pain to support over-workers, pregnant people and weekend warriors. Your remedial massage with Tallara will see her combining deep tissue massage with movement, stretching and targeted trigger point therapy with her (practically trademarked!) pointy elbows. She is a big advocate of using manual therapy to help facilitate the long term benefits of regular strength and mobility training for injury prevention, rehabilitation and overall health longevity.

Outside of work, you can find Tallara on top of a mountain, indoor rock climbing, or catching up with family and friends.

Kim Minne

Physiotherapist

Kim hailsย from sunny Cape Town, South Africa. Having completed her Physiotherapy (Honours) degree at the University of the Western Cape in 2014, Kim has worked with aย variety of patients from all walks of life. Kim is passionate about continued learning and has added Dry Needling and Clinical Pilates to her skills set. Her interest area lies in, post-orthopaedic and lower back injuries as well as persistent and degenerative injuries. Kim is personable and passionate about helping her patients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Kim maintains an active lifestyle โ€“ running, hiking, and playing hockey, which has fed into her interests in keeping people moving and injury prevention. Her new area of interest is in Womenโ€™s Health and hopes to build and grow in this field in her new position.

She is friendly and chatty and therefore enjoys working closely with her patients to create specific programs to achieve their most favoured outcomes. After building up her experience in South Africa, she was ready for a new adventure and challenge thus joining the team across the waters at Sports & Spinal.

Gema Greasley

Musculoskeletal and Women's Health Physiotherapist

Gema holdsย a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Australian Catholic University. Gemaย is a musculoskeletal, pelvic and womenโ€™s health physiotherapist. Gemaย holds additional post graduateย qualifications in women’s pelvic health, advanced dry needling and reformer pilates. Sheย is also the former lead physiotherapist for the Aspley Hornets AFLW team and has previously worked with the AFLW Brisbane Lions team.

Gemaโ€™sย favourite areas to treat includeย lower back, spinal, sacroiliac,ย pelvic and hip pain.

She is passionate in guiding women through their pregnancy and post partum/ post natal journey, addressing pelvic floor dysfunction or assisting women with pelvic organ prolapse. Gema understands women can be nervous to start their pelvic health journey and this motivates her to help women overcome their fears and achieve their desired outcomes. She is dedicated to providing high-quality care and support to get you symptom free and feeling good about yourself!

Gema is passionate about empowering everyone to play an active role in their health journey. She acknowledges that everyone is unique and designs bespoke treatment plans for each of her clients. She is determined to get you back to your optimal level of function so you can do what you love to do pain-free. Gema combines hands-on and exercise therapies to provide the best long-term approach.

On the weekend you will find Gema going to reformerย pilates or gym herself, drinking coffee and walking her two dachshunds Penelope & Alfred”

Sam Moyle

Lower Back & Spinal Rehab Physiotherapist

Physiotherapy was a natural career choice for Sam, having competed at a high level in track and field, cricket, touch football and Australian Rules Football. He realised the impact of strong physical health and its impact on physical and emotional wellbeing.

Sam graduated from the University of Queensland with first-class honours and began his career in the public sector. He enjoyed gaining valuable experience in pre and post-surgery treatment protocols and excellent communication skills to provide optimum client care. Sam has worked with and learnt from some of Australiaโ€™s leading neurological physiotherapists. He used these effective skills when screening for more serious conditions to ensure his treatment plans reflect the needs of his clients.

Sam then transitioned into private practice and was able to apply his knowledge and skills working with some of Queenslandโ€™s premier cricket and football clubs.

Sam has recently returned from working in the United Kingdom. He worked as a Lead Physiotherapist in the heart of London with some of the worldโ€™s leading sports physicians and orthopaedic surgeons, enhancing his theoretical and practical knowledge within this vibrant and stimulating environment. Sam developed close working relationships with acclaimed shoulder, spinal and foot/ankle surgeons, constantly learning, refining and enhancing his current practice.

Sam looks forward to bringing his knowledge and experience to Sports & Spinal and learning from his new colleagues and patients about the provision of exemplary physiotherapy care. Samโ€™s patients will benefit from an excellent communicator and active listener who will provide a hands-on approach to quality care and expert exercise prescription skills.

In his leisure time, Sam enjoys the outdoors. He loves to explore the South East Queensland walking tracks, and he is a keen cricketer and runner. Sam played cricket in England and is always looking to lower his 10km running PB. Samโ€™s overall professional goal is to provide optimum health care to all those who engage with him.

Lauren Robinson

Exercise Physiologist

For Lauren, becoming a Clinical Exercise Physiologist was a no-brainer. She spent many years competing as an elite swimmer at both junior and senior levels. Over the past three years, Lauren has gained experience in personal training, group fitness, and sports coaching. She has also worked with a variety of clients, including those in paralympic/disability sports, paediatrics, and older adults. Through her experiences, she has learned just how crucial exercise and physical activity is for improving health, enhancing recovery, and promoting independence.

Lauren graduated from the University of Queensland with a degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) and has a keen interest in cancer, neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Laurenโ€™s passion is to help guide individuals throughout their unique physical and mental wellbeing journeys. She believes in taking the time to connect with clients to listen to their concerns and provides her knowledge and experience to empower them to live more active and healthy lifestyles.

When sheโ€™s not in the clinic, youโ€™ll find Lauren at the gym or Pilates studio, online shopping, and following sports such as the AFL, NRL and Formula 1.

Kirra Womersley

Exercise Physiologist

Kirra graduated with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) at the University of Queensland.ย  Kirra is passionate about exercise physiology but has a special interest in neurological, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

Since moving on from elite track and field in 2016, Kirra has continued her passion for physical activity. She is committed to patient-centred care and finds it incredibly rewarding to work alongside clients to achieve goals that may never have seemed possible. Kirra is passionate about the widespread benefits of exercise and is committed to finding an activity to suit everyone.

When Kirra is not at the clinic, you can find her bouldering or researching the latest running shoes.

Simran Shah

Ankle, Knee & Lower Limb Physiotherapist

Simran holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) and was eager to complete further specialised study and recently completed herย Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland.

Simran has developed a particular interest in complex whiplash disorders and lower limb injuries specifically sports related knee, ankle and foot conditions. She has extensive experience in usingย a mixed approach of hands-on therapy and tailored exercise prescription to ensure that each of her patients achieves their goals. Simran has worked with some of Queensland’s leading physiotherapists and lower limb specialists.

Simran prides herself on developing easy to follow step by step treatment plans that not only rehabiltate the original injury but ensure her patients leave with their risk of re-injury being as low as possible. Simran enjoys travelling and has volunteered/studied as a physiotherapy student or physiotherapist in several countries across the world and loves treating people from all walks of life.

Simran has also completed additional training in vestibular physiotherapy and lower limb tendon injury management.

Emily Ricketts

Psychologist

Originally from Melbourne, Emily is a psychologist who completed her undergraduate and graduate diploma studies at Monash University. She then pursued her Masters in Psychology (Sport and Exercise) at the University of Queensland. Emily is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists.

With diverse experience in general psychological treatment, chronic pain management, and sports, Emily can provide support to a wide variety of individuals. Emily offers psychology services to young people and adults to improve their quality of life and well-being. She can assist individuals navigating chronic pain and adjusting to large changes in life, coping with anxiety and/ or depression, and addressing various other mental health concerns.

Passionate about providing a safe space for her clients, Emily aims to help them build self-confidence, enhance their overall quality of life, and live authentically. She welcomes clients seeking support in areas such as chronic pain, anxiety, depression, ADHD, interpersonal concerns, relationships, self-esteem, body image, veterans, grief and loss, and general counselling.

Outside of work, Emily is passionate about health and fitness and can often be found in the gym or enjoying meals at some of Queensland’s best restaurants.

Dietitian: Gut & Digestive Health, Chronic Conditions, Disordered Eating & Mental Health & Practical Healthy Eating Advice

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Nicoleโ€™s journey into nutrition came from her cultural belief that โ€œfood is medicineโ€. Combined with her life goal to contribute her life to helping others, she entered the health industry as a dietitian.ย 

Nicoleโ€™s goal as a dietitian is to connect with each individual and discover their needs and wants in health and nutrition. She aims to help people develop a healthy and enjoyable relationship with food that supports their conditions and well-being. Nicole believes there is no โ€œone size fits allโ€ solution to health. Therefore, she is passionate about working with her clients and empowering them with the nutrition knowledge and skills that they need.ย 

As a full-fledged foodie, Nicole is also an excellent home cook who dabbles in different cuisines. She is experienced in developing simple and budget-friendly recipes that support a healthy diet. If you are struggling with your diet or are unsure about nutritional support for your health, Nicole is the dietitian for you. Nicole has a Masters’ degree in Nutrition and Dietetic Practice from Bond University and a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science from Queensland University of Technology.
