Simran Shah

General Physiotherapy

Simran moved up to Hervey Bay 2 years ago after completing a Bachelors of Physiotherapy (Honours) at the University of Queensland. Simran has a special interest in the treatment of lower back and lower limb injuries along with sports-related injuries. She is an enthusiastic learner who enjoys keeping up with the latest evidence-based practices.

Simran has done extra training in Pilates and Vestibular physiotherapy.

In her spare time, she enjoys playing all sports especially tennis and travelling.

Sam Moyle

Lower Back & Spinal Rehab Physiotherapist

Physiotherapy was a natural career choice for Sam, having competed at a high level in track and field, cricket, touch football and Australian Rules Football. He realised the impact of strong physical health and its impact on physical and emotional wellbeing.

Sam graduated from the University of Queensland with first-class honours and began his career in the public sector where he enjoyed gaining valuable experience in pre and post-surgery treatment protocols as well using his excellent communication skills in providing optimum client care. Sam has worked with and learnt from, some of Australia’s leading neurological physiotherapists. He used these effective skills when screening for more serious conditions to ensure his treatment plans reflect the needs of his clients.

Sam then made the transition into private practice and was able to apply his knowledge and skills working with some of Queensland’s premier cricket and football clubs.

Sam has recently returned from working in the United Kingdom. He worked as a Lead Physiotherapist in the heart of London with some of the world’s leading sports physicians and orthopaedic surgeons enhancing his theoretical and practical knowledge within this vibrant and stimulating environment. Sam developed close working relationships with acclaimed shoulder, spinal and foot/ankle surgeons constantly learning, refining and enhancing his current practice.

Sam looks forward to bringing his knowledge and experience to Sports and Spinal as well as learning from his new colleagues and patients about the provision of exemplary physiotherapy care. Sam’s patients will benefit from an excellent communicator, an active listener who will provide a hands-on approach to quality care and expert exercise prescription skills.

In his leisure time, Sam enjoys the outdoors. He loves to explore the South East Queensland walking tracks and he is a keen cricketer and runner. Sam played cricket in England and is always looking to lower his 10km running PB. Sam’s overall professional goal is to provide optimum health care to all those who engage with him.

Adam Horwitz

Shoulder, Neck and Headache Physiotherapist

Adam graduated from The University of Sydney with an applied science degree in Exercise and Sports Science followed by a Masters of Physiotherapy. He has undergone further training in Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling as well as attended a range of courses for the management of shoulder pain, headaches, TMJ Disorders (Jaw Joint) and spinal pathologies.

Adam developed a keen interest in Physiotherapy and injury management through competing in Football, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Squash over the years. He uses a variety of techniques to help diagnose and treat his client’s injuries. His effective treatment planning includes easy to understand advice and education, soft tissue therapy, joint mobilisations and exercise prescription.

His inpatient hospital training gave him an in-depth knowledge of medical management of a variety of conditions and the effect hospitalisation can have on the body after discharge. Adam is fortunate to have worked with some of the leading hip, knee, shoulder and spinal specialists in the country. He is well experienced rehabilitating patients following joint replacements, including; Total Knee Replacements, Total Hip Replacements and Total Shoulder Replacements.

Through further training in Pilates and his involvement with Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Adam has a deep understanding of human movement, biomechanics and how to use exercise to stimulate adaptation and recovery.

Adam has extensive experience in managing sports-related injuries. He has worked with the Sydney FC strength and conditioning team and provided on-field injury management for the Tongan Rugby 7s Youth Olympic team.

Adam recognises that every client is unique and recognises the importance of collaboration with his clients and their wider medical team (GP, specialists and other health professionals) to manage their pain and decipher what the most ideal form of rehabilitation will be for them.

In his spare time, Adam likes to hike, train Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, play guitar and travel.

Jason Vaughan

Hip & Lower Limb Physiotherapist

Jason graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of Queensland. He is currently undergoing post-graduate training in hip and groin management, football medicine and working towards being awarded the title of APA Sports Physiotherapist. He has also gone on to complete further training in complex shoulder pain and pathology taught by one of the world’s leading shoulder experts.

Jason has a keen interest in all areas of Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy with a particular focus towards the hip and lower limb, acute and chronic lumbar spine pain and sports injuries for all levels of athletes.

He is currently the Head Physiotherapist for the Virginia United FC men’s football teams and has previously enjoyed providing pitch-side first aid for Olympic FC, Wests Bulldogs Rugby Union, Easts Tigers Rugby Union and Marist College Ashgrove.

Jason is experienced in diagnosing and addressing the painful problems and movement habits of his clients, developing step by step treatment plans and building long-term resilience when the pain has eased to ensure the injury does not return again. Through active, hands-on and research-based management, Jason ensures his clients achieve their short and long-term goals and improve their health and quality of life.

Outside of the clinic, Jason writes on his popular IG blog ‘NBA Injury Report’ which breaks down NBA player injuries in simple terms for the average sports fan.

In his spare time, you will find Jason enjoying getting outdoors, playing sports, eating his way around town and working towards French fluency.

Prue Barker

General Physiotherapist

Prue graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours), from the University of Queensland. Prue enjoys treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal complaints and has an interest in injury prevention. Prue is passionate about getting people back to doing what they love through combining hands-on treatment with tailored exercise programs.

Prue is a qualified Pilates instructor and enjoys incorporating this into her treatment programs.

Outside of work Prue enjoys the outdoors and many sports particularly swimming and running.

Corey Prior

General Physiotherapist

Corey graduated Griffith University Gold Coast with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Masters of Physiotherapy. Corey has a strong interest in the musculoskeletal system with three years experience as a musculoskeletal anatomy laboratory demonstrator. Corey is passionate about all aspects of physiotherapy and is willing take all appropriate approaches to help clients achieve their best.

Corey is also a Crossfit level 1 trainer and coaches all levels of athletes. Corey is also heavily involved in Crossfit himself and enjoys being able to get out on the competition floor. Outside of Crossfit Corey enjoys anything outdoors from running, cycling and more often his growing love for golf.

Haleh Faham

Women’s Health & General Physiotherapist

Haleh graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2009 and has since been working in private practice as well as the hospital and community aged care settings. She has a special interest and training in Women’s Health and incontinence physiotherapy and helps women better understand and manage their conditions. She continues to have a keen interest in developing her knowledge and skills to enhance her treatment approach.

Haleh enjoys helping patients through exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. Her true satisfaction is having a positive impact on a person’s overall health, happiness and ability to live their life to the fullest.

Outside work, Haleh loves hiking, swimming, playing keyboard and oil painting

Kirra Womersley

Exercise Physiologist

Kirra graduated with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours) at the University of Queensland.  Kirra is passionate in all fields of exercise physiology but has a special interest in neurological, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

Since moving on from elite track and field in 2016, Kirra has continued her passion for physical activity.  She is committed to patient-centred care and finds it incredibly rewarding to work alongside clients to achieve goals that may never have seemed possible.  Kirra is passionate about the widespread benefits of exercise and is committed to finding an activity to suit everyone.

When Kirra is not at the clinic you can find her bouldering or researching the latest running shoes.

Louise Dunn


Louise Dunn gained her Bachelor of Science (podiatry) degree at the University of Brighton in the UK. She previously worked in the NHS, focusing on Diabetes/wound management and rehab care for a number of years. Louise emigrated with her family to Australia in 2003 and has continued with her work in the private sector, providing a range of treatments from general foot care to orthotic therapy, nail surgery, footwear advice and children’s feet. Louise does both clinical work and home visits in the local community, treating private patients, DVA, EPC and Transition Care.

Thomas Abraham


Podiatrist – Areas Treated: Foot, Ankle, Knee, Toenail Care

Tom graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a Bachelor of Podiatry. Since leaving university he has gained an interest in sports injuries, biomechanics and wound care and is always looking to learn more allowing him to provide the best treatment he can. Tom has also spent some time working with running footwear specifically ASICS.
During school and university, Tom was actively involved in playing soccer, tennis and completed in athletics up to a state-level on a few occasions. Tom is a keen traveller spending a year in Europe in and some time in Nepal volunteering and completing the Everest base camp trek. Tom also enjoys snowboarding when he can.

Samantha Kiorgaard


Samantha studied a Bachelor of Dietetics at the University of the Sunshine Coast and is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian. Samantha provides a warm and understanding environment in which she supports clients on their journey to improved wellbeing and quality of life. With her knowledge of food and medical nutrition therapy, she encourages sustainable eating behaviours and provides dietary advice that is guided by a client-centred approach, tailoring to the individual needs and unique background of each person. Samantha believes that food doesn’t have to be complicated in order to lead a healthy lifestyle and is meant to be enjoyed. Samantha has special interests in type 2 diabetes management, bariatric pre & post-surgery nutrition, gastrointestinal issues and geriatric nutrition.

Parking is located through the keep clear off Hamilton Road to the rear of the building. Sports and Spinal have 5 car parks along the front wall that are shared with Campbell cosmetic Hearing.

If these parks are full please try and park along the back fence or in the parking allocated for other businesses closest to Hamilton Road. Do not park in the large area nearest to chemist warehouse (behind Mega Buy) to avoid being towed
