Sports & Spinal North Lakes services patients across Deception Bay, Narangba, Dakabin, Kallangur, Murrumba Downs, Rothwell, Burpengary, Mango Hill, Caboolture and Morayfield, supporting the wider Moreton Bay region.
Our Core, Strength & Mobility (CSM) classes are clinically guided Pilates-based programs designed to improve core stability, posture, mobility and functional strength.
With a strong emphasis on breathing control, body awareness and movement precision, classes provide a structured way to strengthen without excessive joint stress or unnecessary muscle bulk.
Programs incorporate:
-
Core conditioning
-
Balance and coordination training
-
Controlled strength progression
-
Stability and mobility work
-
Postural retraining
Classes may be delivered in our dedicated CSM Studio using Pilates equipment such as reformers, trapeze tables and exercise balls, or as Mat-based sessions using bodyweight and minimal equipment.
Programs are progressed gradually, with ongoing education and technique refinement to ensure safe and effective long-term results.
Unlike general gym Pilates, our classes are overseen by Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists with Clinical Pilates training. This allows exercises to be modified for injury management, post-surgical rehabilitation or specific movement restrictions.
We offer:
-
One-on-one Clinical Pilates sessions
-
Small group Core, Strength & Mobility classes
-
Integration with Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology programs
All participants are required to complete an initial assessment with a Physiotherapist or Exercise Physiologist prior to commencing classes. This ensures safe equipment use, appropriate exercise selection and identification of any injuries or restrictions.
Sports & Spinal North Lakes is NDIS registered and supports Medicare referrals and private health rebates via HICAPS. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are available onsite.

Core, Strength & Mobility classes are perfect for toning and reshaping the body. It works on creating long, lean muscles, toning all of those hard to target areas such as the abdominals, inner thighs, buttocks, back of thighs, sides and backs of the arms. For toning, these classes are best performed 3 to 5 times a week through a combination of studio sessions, mat classes and home exercises.
Pilates exercises are performed through a wide range of movements and work on lengthening the muscles at the same time as strengthening them. To increase flexibility, stretching exercises need to be performed daily.
The Clinical Pilates exercises used in our Core, Strength & Mobility classes focus on strengthening the weakened postural muscles and stretching the tight muscles that pull the body into these poor postures. Studio sessions are the best way to improve posture as our physiotherapists can develop a program to target your specific postural problems. Pilates can also be used for back pain as it relaxes and strengthens the muscles, easing the discomfort.
Our Core, Strength & Mobility classes use Clinical Pilates techniques which are fantastic for injury rehabilitation and prevention as it works on core stability, posture, flexibility, and correcting muscle imbalances and weaknesses via specific strengthening. It can be used for arthritis, neck pain, back pain and various injuries.
Pilates is the secret tool that many high level and recreational athletes use to enhance their performance, decrease the risk of injuries and provide much-needed cross-training. Each sport has specific strength and flexibility requirements. When you book in for an assessment, your physiotherapist will look at the things you need to work on to improve your performance and then proceed to design a Pilates program for you.

She further honed her knowledge and skills in manual therapy and soft tissue release techniques there. Montana also pursued additional training in dry needling and Western Acupuncture and became proficient in conducting regular Mat Pilates sessions.

I honestly cannot speak highly enough of Sports and Spinal Northlakes. After my shoulder surgery, I was at a point where I was not progressing with the physio I was seeing, and I had started to lose hope that I would ever feel like myself again. I found Sports and Spinal and from the moment I changed over and began treatment, that changed.
I see Kelly Grant and Ryan Moore, and they are genuinely second to none. Their knowledge, professionalism and care are outstanding, but what really stands out is how much they actually listen. They take the time to understand not just my injury, but how it is affecting my confidence and day-to-day life.
They have got me moving again when I honestly thought I was stuck. Each session feels purposeful, encouraging and tailored exactly to where I am at. They collaborate to make sure I get the best outcome!
I always joke that I’ll have to leave a bad review because they’re too good at what they do and can be hard to get into at my preferred time, but that just says everything about how in demand they are. If you book with them, you’re in the best possible hands.
If you’re recovering from surgery, dealing with pain, or just need clinicians who truly care about your recovery, I cannot recommend Sports and Spinal Northlakes (particularly Kelly and Ryan) highly enough. They are giving me my movement back, and I’ll be forever grateful.
Great place to go to when looking for a professional physiotherapist. Had a good experience and everyone working there was extremely nice and took their time to understand what the issue was.
Very pleased with all the staff, Cat has helped me through my knee recovery over the past 9 months and has worked at a speed that was comfortable with my progression. Giving me relevant exercises, with thorough instructions and options when setbacks were had. Would come back anytime in the future if another injury arises. (Hopefully no other injuries 😂)
can’t recommend this physio highly enough. I went in with super tight pelvic muscles that were causing ongoing pain, and within just 5 visits my pelvis is now functioning completely healthy and normal. Montana was incredible — knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely caring. She made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the whole process. I’m so grateful for the results and the support I received.
Sports and spinal clinic was recommended to me by my gym coach after a sprained ankle netball injury. I had both Brandon and Lachlan work on me for a month, once a week, and the strength in my ankle has come good. They mixed manual manipulation of the muscles with physical movement and exercises that have meant I could return to the gym! I’m now strong enough to move laterally, hop and balance on that leg and am slowly returning to a full netball game. Can’t recommend them highly enough. Everyone on staff is friendly and chatty and make feel relaxed and valued.
Friendly, understanding, strong communication, very professional and real people! These are a few words I’d use for the fantastic experience I had with the team and podiatrist yesterday! Thank you Mia for fixing a problem I’ve had for about 10 years! I highly recommend heading in for any of their services and I will definitely be back 🙌
Jeremy was very professional and really had a comprehensive and understanding approach to my neck problems.
Finally found a decent physiotherapy place after a long search.
Until I had seen Tom and Brendan at Sports and Spinal North Lakes I had little relief from pain to feet and hips/back. Highest recommendations for their professionalism, skills, friendliness and courteous attitudes and the ability to resolve my issues. The new site is amazing, offering modern up-to-date equipment and a wide range of treatments/rehab. Add outstanding value for money, lots of parking, fantastic Receptionist and other ancillary staff.

Exercise physiology is a recognised and essential part of Australia’s health system, supported through Medicare, DVA, the NDIS and private health funds. Yet it is still subject to GST. This means people managing conditions like diabetes, heart disease, obesity and mental health challenges are paying extra for care that helps them live better, healthier lives.
We don’t think that’s right, which is why we’re supporting Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) in their campaign to remove GST from exercise physiology services.
