Dziila Mao
Physiotherapist - Neck Pain & Lower Limb
Dziila grew up in Mumbai, India. She recently graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours). She gained valuable experience working as a sports trainer for the North Brisbane football club. This allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the unique demands of working with athletes, providing injury management and prevention.
Dziila discovered her passion for physiotherapy at the age of fourteen. Her experience as a dedicated sprinter who received extensive help from physiotherapists. Having first-hand experience of dealing with injuries, she is committed to understanding and prioritising each patientās unique goals.
She is passionate about providing patient-centered care with a hands-on and exercise-based treatment approach to not only alleviate pain but also improve functionality. With Dziila as your physiotherapist, you can expect a holistic approach to rehabilitation, tailored to your specific needs and aspirations.
Dziila enjoys long-distance running, often taking in the scenic views along the Brisbane River. She also has a passion for yoga and reading. She spends most of her weekends at the beach, surfing and relaxing.

Nazefa Umar
Physiotherapist - Women's Health
Nazefa is a dedicated Women’s Health physiotherapist and has pursued extensive specialised training, completing APA Level 1 and 2 Women’s Pelvic Floor courses. This advanced study reflects her passion for providing evidence-based, compassionate care tailored to the unique needs of women.
Nazefa is committed to a holistic approach, helping patients not only recover from injury and manage pain but also achieve optimal function and well-being. When she’s not helping her patients, her time is joyfully filled as a busy mother of two children. She prioritises time spent with her family and friends, cherishing the moments that keep her grounded and energized outside of her professional life.

Thomas Abraham
Podiatrist - General Care, Sports & Exercise
Podiatrist – Areas Treated: Foot, Ankle, Knee, Toenail Care
Tom graduated with a Bachelor of Podiatry from the Queensland University of Technology Brisbane in 2019. Since then, he has gained extensive experience across podiatry, with expertise in sports injuries, biomechanics, chronic lower limb pain, and ingrown toenail surgery.
During his studies, Tom worked with ASICS, gaining valuable insight into footwear design and performance, which he now applies in his clinical practice to optimise patient outcomes. He has a strong focus on sports podiatry and enjoys helping people of all ages and activity levels stay active, recover from injury, and perform at their best. His clinical interests include overuse injuries, tendon and bone stress conditions, and biomechanical assessments to improve movement efficiency and prevent re-injury.
Tom provides evidence-based, individualised treatment, including soft tissue therapy, dry needling, taping or strapping, orthotics, exercise-based rehabilitation, and education. He values a collaborative approach and works closely with physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, and other allied health professionals when it best supports patient recovery.
Outside the clinic, Tom enjoys travel, outdoor adventureāincluding completing the Everest Base Camp trekāand staying active through sport. He has competed at a state level in athletics and also enjoys playing soccer and tennis.

Cara Niven
Physiotherapist - Lymphoedema & General
Cara completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University in Brisbane and has gained diverse clinical experience across all areas of physiotherapy.
Each day in the clinic, Cara treats a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. This remains a core focus of her practice and an area she continues to feel passionate about. From managing sporting injuries and joint pain to guiding clients through post-surgical rehabilitation, Cara enjoys the challenge of problem-solving and developing personalised treatment plans to help people move better, feel stronger, and return to the activities they love. She is also a qualified dry needling practitioner and regularly incorporates this technique to support pain relief and recovery.
Cara has also completed further specialised training and is a qualified lymphoedema and lipoedema therapist. She is experienced in treating lymphoedema affecting the upper and lower limbs, breasts, genitals, trunk, abdomen, and paediatric cases. Her comprehensive treatment approach for lymphoedema and lipoedema includes manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, exercise prescription, education, and garment prescription. Cara also treats other swelling-related conditions such as chronic venous insufficiency.
She loves incorporating Pilates into her rehabilitation programs to improve strength, flexibility, and body awareness. Whether youāre managing recurring back pain, recovering after surgery, or simply looking to start a new form of exercise, Cara can tailor Pilates to suit your needs. She invites clients to join one of her Pilates classes as part of their recovery journey.
In addition, Cara works extensively with NDIS clients every day. She collaborates closely with clients, allied health teams, support coordinators, and support workers to ensure comprehensive, individualised care. Cara enjoys supporting NDIS participants to improve their independence and empowering them to achieve their personal goals.
Cara still remembers the exact day she knew she wanted to be a physiotherapist, at just 14 years old! As an avid soccer player, her interest was sparked by the care and support she received from physiotherapists for injuries sustained on the field. She understands firsthand the physical, social, and emotional impact of injury and ensures her clientsā best interests are always at the forefront of their care. Together, youāll smash goals and get back to doing what you love.
Away from physiotherapy, Cara enjoys playing soccer, cheering on the Broncos under the Friday night lights at Suncorp, and escaping into a good book. Word of warning: if the Broncos have a win, youāll definitely hear about it.

Tim East
Remedial Massage Therapist - Deep Tissue, Swedish Massage, Trigger Point & Muscle Energy Techniques
Tim loves helping people and tailoring the massage to individual needs, incorporating relaxation into remedial. Tim places a large amount of focus on making sure your problems are addressed through massage and minor lifestyle changes. You can leave feeling relaxed, restored, and equipped with the knowledge you need to fix and maintain your body for the long term.
Tim has a keen interest in deep tissue, Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, and muscle energy techniques. Tim does not currently treat pregnant women.
Tim is available for Remedial Massage appointments at the North Lakes and Redcliffe clinics.
Zachary Howard
Exercise Physiologist - Chronic Pain
Zac is driven by his passion for helping others. He graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Science (Exercise Physiology). Since then, he has gained extensive experience in private practice, providing Exercise Physiology services to patients in various areas, including metabolic, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, post-operative rehabilitation, performance enhancement, neurological conditions, Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Work Cover, and NDIS. Zac is dedicated to designing exercise programs that are enjoyable and tailored to each patient’s goals and previous experiences, aiming to support them in living a healthy and active lifestyle.
Zac has a particular interest in NDIS, Work Cover, and CTP insurance rehabilitation. He works closely with his patients, delivering cutting-edge exercise programs to maximize their rehabilitation. Whether it’s acute injuries or chronic pain, Zac finds fulfilment in supporting patients throughout their journey to health and wellness.
Before entering the clinical field, Zac was the head strength and conditioning coach for the largest Tennis Centre on the Sunshine Coast, leveraging his Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (with a minor in performance enhancement). Outside of work, he enjoys rock climbing, playing tennis, and riding his motorbike.
Zac is one of our lead Exercise PhysiologistsĀ and is an Associate Partner.

Daniel Leahy
Exercise Physiologist - Sporting injuries & Neurological Conditions
Daniel graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology before relocating from South Australia to Queensland. Having always been involved in sports, the opportunity to study and work in a field that allows him to channel his passion for exercise into helping people live better lives was a natural choice.
Daniel has experience with various chronic conditions and presentations, such as osteoarthritis, diabetes, and hypertension. He works with a broad range of clients covered by third-party insurance schemes, including but not limited to NDIS, DVA, CTP, WorkCover, and others.
Daniel is dedicated to working with clients to set individualized and meaningful goals, assisting them in achieving these through specific, evidence-based exercise programs. He has a particular interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, focusing on correcting movement patterns, reducing pain, and aiding recovery from injury or surgery. Additionally, he is keenly interested in neurological conditions and is committed to helping individuals improve their physical function and quality of life through exercise.
Outside of work, Daniel has a passion for sports, including AFL, cricket, and basketball. He also enjoys running and traveling to a wide variety of destinations around the globe

Montana Moyle
Physiotherapist - Womans health & Chronic pain
Born and raised in Australia, Montana graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland. After completing her physiotherapy degree, she began working in a private sports and musculoskeletal practice. She further honed her knowledge and skills in manual therapy and soft tissue release techniques there. Montana also pursued additional training in dry needling and Western Acupuncture and became proficient in conducting regular Mat Pilates sessions.
Montana was fortunate to spend a couple of years in the UK, gaining invaluable experience in a private hospital in Northern England and private practice in central London. While working in the orthopaedic ward, she deepened her understanding of surgical procedures and protocols, establishing crucial relationships with some of the worldās leading surgeons. In London, Montana worked in the boutique health and fitness space, combining hands-on treatment with Dynamic Reformer Pilates. Her exercise prescription skills are a testament to the high-quality training she received overseas.
Since joining the team at Sports and Spinal in 2020, Montana has furthered her training in the Womenās Health and Persistent Pain space, completing Level 1 and 2 APA Womenās Pelvic Health courses and NOI Group Explain Pain courses. This has equipped her to work with pelvic health conditions and complex persistent pain presentations. She is excited to continue to grow and develop in these fields.
When Montana is not in the clinic you will find her running after her toddler, walking her dog or sipping coffee at her local cafƩ. She is passionate about promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Montana enjoys working with patients from diverse backgrounds and collaborates with the talented team at Sports and Spinal to help her patients achieve their goals.

Julia Camporeale
Psychologist - Anxiety, Depression, Counselling, Work Cover & Chronic Pain
Julia has extensive experience in psychotherapy, including cognitive behaviour therapy, helping clients work through anxiety and depression. She supports individuals in navigating lifeās challenges, deepening their self-understanding, and exploring their motivations. As both a psychologist and physiotherapist, she brings unique insight into the complexities of pain, its underlying causes, and its impact on clients -particularly in relation to Work Cover injuries and pain management. Passionate about counselling, she helps clients develop meaningful plans for the future and move forward with confidence.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Nicoleās journey into nutrition came from her cultural belief that āfood is medicineā. Combined with her life goal to contribute her life to helping others, she entered the health industry as a dietitian.Ā
Nicoleās goal as a dietitian is to connect with each individual and discover their needs and wants in health and nutrition. She aims to help people develop a healthy and enjoyable relationship with food that supports their conditions and well-being. Nicole believes there is no āone size fits allā solution to health. Therefore, she is passionate about working with her clients and empowering them with the nutrition knowledge and skills that they need.Ā
As a full-fledged foodie, Nicole is also an excellent home cook who dabbles in different cuisines. She is experienced in developing simple and budget-friendly recipes that support a healthy diet. If you are struggling with your diet or are unsure about nutritional support for your health, Nicole is the dietitian for you. Nicole has a Masters’ degree in Nutrition and Dietetic Practice from Bond University and a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science from Queensland University of Technology.

Johnny graduated from James Cook University in 2019 and specialises in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy, also providing tailored care for clients under the NDIS. He loves helping people achieve ambitious goals, whether itās returning to running, kayaking, or even picking up fishing again.
In 2022, Johnny became Clinical Mentor & Sports Medicine Coordinator for the Solomon Islands Institute of Sport, supporting athletes across 22+ sports for the 2023 Pacific Games, often treating under coconut trees, a career highlight! Heās also a qualified Strength & Conditioning Level 1 Coach, trained in Western Acupuncture and Dry Needling.
When heās not working, Johnny enjoys rugby league, scuba diving, and gardening.
