Sports & Spinal Redcliffe provides Exercise Physiology services to patients across Rothwell, Kippa-Ring, Margate, Woody Point, Newport, Sandgate and Scarborough, supporting the wider Redcliffe Peninsula region.
Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are university-trained allied health professionals specialising in clinical exercise prescription for the prevention and management of chronic disease, injury and disability.

Located within a coastal community with a strong ageing and active population, many patients attend seeking structured strength programs to maintain independence, improve balance and reduce injury risk.
Your Exercise Physiologist will complete a detailed clinical and functional assessment to understand your health history, movement capacity and personal goals.
Programs are individually tailored and may include:

Education for long-term self-management
Sessions may be conducted within our fully equipped onsite gym or adapted to suit your regular gym or pool environment where appropriate.
As part of a multi-disciplinary clinic, Exercise Physiology at Redcliffe may be integrated with Physiotherapy, Women’s Health, Podiatry or Dietetics services to ensure coordinated and effective care.
Sports & Spinal Redcliffe is NDIS registered and supports Medicare referrals and private health rebates via HICAPS. EFTPOS and credit card facilities are available onsite.

Zac is driven by his passion for helping others. He graduated from the University of the Sunshine Coast with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Science (Exercise Physiology). Since then, he has gained extensive experience in private practice, providing Exercise Physiology services to patients in various areas, including metabolic, cardiovascular, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, post-operative rehabilitation, performance enhancement, neurological conditions, Department of Veteran’s Affairs, Work Cover, and NDIS. Zac is dedicated to designing exercise programs that are enjoyable and tailored to each patient’s goals and previous experiences, aiming to support them in living a healthy and active lifestyle.
Zac has a particular interest in NDIS, Work Cover, and CTP insurance rehabilitation. He works closely with his patients, delivering cutting-edge exercise programs to maximize their rehabilitation. Whether it’s acute injuries or chronic pain, Zac finds fulfilment in supporting patients throughout their journey to health and wellness.
Before entering the clinical field, Zac was the head strength and conditioning coach for the largest Tennis Centre on the Sunshine Coast, leveraging his Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (with a minor in performance enhancement). Outside of work, he enjoys rock climbing, playing tennis, and riding his motorbike.
Zac is one of our lead Exercise Physiologists and is an Associate Partner.
Zac is available for Exercise Physiology appointments at our North Lakes and Redcliffe clinics.
Daniel Leahy
Exercise Physiologist - Sporting Injuries & Neurological Conditions
Daniel graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology before relocating from South Australia to Queensland. Having always been involved in sports, the opportunity to study and work in a field that allows him to channel his passion for exercise into helping people live better lives was a natural choice.
Daniel has experience with various chronic conditions and presentations, such as osteoarthritis, diabetes, and hypertension. He works with a broad range of clients covered by third-party insurance schemes, including but not limited to NDIS, DVA, CTP, WorkCover, and others.
Daniel is dedicated to working with clients to set individualized and meaningful goals, assisting them in achieving these through specific, evidence-based exercise programs. He has a particular interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, focusing on correcting movement patterns, reducing pain, and aiding recovery from injury or surgery. Additionally, he is keenly interested in neurological conditions and is committed to helping individuals improve their physical function and quality of life through exercise.
Outside of work, Daniel has a passion for sports, including AFL, cricket, and basketball. He also enjoys running and traveling to a wide variety of destinations around the globe

I can’t recommend this practice more highly! They are exceptional in every way. From the moment my mother and I walked in, for her first physio session, we were both made to feel incredibly welcome and special, and that continues with every visit. Mum is having great results and her physiotherapist, Dziila, has a very caring and beautiful way with my elderly mother. Reception friendly & well organised, consultation was professional & treatment plan & options were thoroughly explained. The exercise program was ready to go & delivered electronically before I arrived home. Exercise app is easy to use, has both written & video instructions plus it tracks progress. Friendly and smiling staff on arrival. Tom was on time with the appointment and took the time to assess my situation with patience and understanding. Completed an array of exercises to establish level of pain and complexity. Feet taped as an initial treatment which helped with the discomfort. A written report was provided with details of my diagnosis and included a treatment plan going forward so I knew what to expect. Michelle was very helpful with booking future appointments so I could keep a regular schedule for treatment. Fantastic first visit. Highly recommend.
