Back in June, our 2022 New Graduates underwent a week-long New Graduate Refresher Program. The program was jam-packed with guest speakers, hands-on workshops, mentoring sessions and plenty of laughs and fun throughout!

We asked some of our Physiotherapists what they loved about the refresher program, and here’s what they had to say.

Physiotherapist, Robbie Fischer

“The New Grad refresher was a great opportunity to review my knowledge and reflect on the past six months of treating as a physiotherapist. I used it to upskill my current thoughts and perceptions on gold standard practice, and it was a great chance to pick the brains of the physiotherapists, which we are lucky enough to have within our company. I have come out of the refresher feeling confident in my skills and believe I will return to my practice with better-diagnosing skills, treatment and exercise prescription.”

“I also appreciated the surgeons’ presentations, which gave me a better understanding of the surgery techniques they use, and how I can best complement these techniques with the application of physiotherapy to give patients the best possible outcome post-surgery. The day ran really well, was broken up into specific regions of the body, and was methodological in its approach, making it easier to understand what each presenter was talking about.”

Physiotherapist, Jorjia Earle-Broadley

“The New Grad refresher provided a great opportunity to consolidate all I learned in the past 6 months of treating as a physio. It was a really great experience, especially with the amount of highly educated and experienced clinicians who spoke on these days. I found that the refresher has increased my confidence with returning to private practice, particularly in the areas of diagnosing, treating and clinical reasoning.”
